Very user friendly
Item works as Intended and is super easy to use. The AC adapter is perfect since I don’t have to rig up my own DC to AC converter.

Excellent for someone new to RC, solid for someone who's been in it for a while
If you are new to FPV drones or general RC this is an especially good buy. Most other chargers have an unexpected surprise. They have no way to plug it into an outlet. You are expected to have your own power supply that matches the specs of the charger you have purchased.I believe that this is indicative of the RC hobby being traditionally popular among engineers and those likely to be skilled in soldering and electronics. Newcomers who aren't are almost always rudely surprised that something that is so ubiquitous with every other piece of electronic hardware is not included. So, for someone who wants to get into this type of hobby, this is charger to buy that will do what you expect it to do without needing additional equipment. Later if you decide that you really want to get into it deeper, you'll end up with said equipment anyway, but at that point it will make more sense and be something expected.

Perfect beginner
The unit accepts standard balance plugs. The balance plug plugs directly into charger and you cant plug it in incorrectly.

Nice if it lasts
Charging mode has worked great as expected. I’ve been using it with a HGLC balance board for my larger batteries and a 1s series board for my whoop batteries. But after flying my quads, I need to use the storage mode on each individual battery; that’s where the second unit came in. However, the discharge function on the 2nd unit stopped working in less than 6 months, so storage mode will work only on batteries under storage voltage. This also renders the destroy function inoperable for damaged packs. The DC Power supply has been quite useful. I’ve used it with a low current limit to test powering up my quad after my questionable soldering repair. I’ve also used it to power a Matek ELRS Receiver to flash firmware before installation. It could even be used to power a TS100 soldering iron on the bench. One other issue I’ve had is the first unit has a very noisy fan. I am fine ignoring it for now, and eventually I’ll swap the fan out myself. But when I tried contacting ISDT about the failed discharger, they didn’t even respond…

Before you buy this make sure you have all the cables needed.
Contrary to what the answers are, this charger does not use the same balance plug as almost every other charger and finding one on Amazon that work is an effort in futility. I also ordered the same balance plug as almost every other charger uses and upon arrival, discovered this charger uses one not sold on Amazon. Then why bother with this charger.Stay away from chargers and that do not come with cables. There is a reason they don't come with cables, its because they aren't the standard ones. This charger is going back. It's useless without cables and worse when you can't even buy them at the same time even from a different vendor. The only cable this comes with is the power cord. While not getting the charger cablers is okay if you can just order them, since they aren't standard, and the vendor doesn't sell them its just not something to bother buying.
