Earth Defense Force 5 (PS4)

Came in quick, the bugs are actual features and I’m enjoying it. 👍🏿👍🏿

I never write reviews on Amazon but this game made me feel compelled to do so. If you've ever played an EDF game before and want to just know if you should buy it I'll tell you right now you should. As of writing this review I have put in about 8 hours into the game and am having a great time, and am really only 5% done with the game (there's achievements that tell you how close you are to unlocking everything in the game). If you've never played an EDF game before this is a good one to pick up as it has probably the best frame rate in the series that I've experienced, and it has a pretty funny plot that mirrors something from a sci-fy movie about aliens invading Earth and giant killer insects with you being the gal or guy to save humanity. There's a huge variety when it comes to weapons and play styles so your encouraged to experiment and try new things while you play with a satisfying gameplay loop of destroying swarms of enemies in whatever way you can. Overall there is really only 1 bad thing I can say about the game; the NPC's in the game always have random things to say in order to make the world feel more real in the game and its mostly nonsense and is fine for what it is. Occasionally though there is this pattern of dialogue that is basically just xenophobic rhetoric about how "we need to get rid of immigrants" and I think the developers of the game were just trying to make edgy humor about the fact that the game is about aliens but there is kind of a few to many of those points of dialogue in the game and in my opinion is unacceptable. It unfortunate that I think this game would otherwise be a 5/5 with all the effort that is put into its content but I have to be honest and say that the racist dialogue that is only very minorly in the game does detract from my experience as a whole. Good game over all you should give it a try.

Fun game,pleasant time killer.

This game makes Dynasty Warriors look like childs play. Hundreds of enemies onscreen, entire cities fully destructible, hundreds of weapons, hilarious voiceovers. What a game!!

This game has a huge campaign with tons of weapons and vehicles to choose from. My son and I play split screen on PS4 and it's a lot of fun. The action is excellent and the combat is perfect.

Addictive silly Mayham. The best B Movie i ever played. Can't recommend enough, although very small target demografik.

For anyone who has never played EDF, u have to know this game has very little story , simple cut scenes and basic graphics. The games is really all about blasting lots and lots of insects and aliens. The missions consists of killing monsters and destroying spawn points. Why have I given it 5 stars?. It's just tremendous chaotic fun when u are facing a swarm of insects. There are four glasses in the game each with lots of different weapons available via pick up drops. U also upgrade your armour(health) this way. For me one of the best things about this game is the dialogue between the characters. It's a total mikey take out of gung ho American soldiers. Overall a classic simple blaster lots of fun.

Ich habe die Edf Reihe auf der Xbox 360 mit EDF 2017 begonnen.Später folgte dann EDF Insect Armageddon und wieder später folgte dann auf der Ps4 EDF 4.1.Alles geile Spiele. Unmengen an Feinden und riesige Waffen Auswahl mit ordentlich Zerstörung Potential.Nun zu Teil 5.Ich spiele mit einem Kumpel in Coop Modus, wir sind bei Level 22.Also noch ziemlich am Anfang und schon total begeistert.Es hat alles was ein EDF Game braucht und ausmacht. Riesige Gegnerwellen, übertriebene geile Waffen. Hirn aus und ballern. Wer EDF mag wird Teil 5 auch lieben. Ich freue mich auf weitere Zerstörung.EDF!!!

A great follow on from the awesome edf 4.1.Many more weapons maybe 1000 or so , about 110 levels ,5 difficulties.new bipedal enemies and some very strange fat flying frogs.all the joy of the edf series and still has the awesome voice acting and comical characters.there are also some improvements to the graphics from 4.1 but not hugely,not to mention the updated menu system etc.overall a great game and many hours of fun without too much thinking.i personally think 4.1 is very marginally better but not by much but 5 is hugely better than the atrocious iron rain which for me didn’t feel very edf.Trust me just buy it and shoot some frogs in the face 🐸 👍
