Cuticura Medicated Anti-Bacterial Bar Soap, Original Formula (5.25oz)

I have suffered with adult acne since my early twenties, and I am now thirty-six. I also have some other physical conditions that require me to take medication. One particularly promising medication that I took in the past made my acne even worse! I had to change my medication because the acne was so severe. I tried everything to control the acne, but nothing worked! I saw several dermatologists, took different antibiotics, and many, many prescription topicals! Nothing worked! I tried what seems like every over-the-counter topical treatment that is out there! Most of them caused excessive drying, yet did not clear up the acne. Needless to say, when I found this product I was skeptical! Well, I am thrilled to say that this is my miracle soap! It actually works! Imagine that! A product that actually does what it says! My face is finally clear! And it is not dry in the least! I no longer try to hide my face with my hair. And the best part is that I tried that medication again for my other illness that made my acne worse. Well now it does not even give me a pimple! It truly is a miracle! I now keep several bars on hand, so that I never run out! I cannot believe how cheap it is either! I honestly would pay hundreds of dollars for a product that works this well! I wish I would have tried it a decade ago!

I have used this soap since I was a teenager, it was the only thing that helped my acne. It deep cleans, kills the bacteria and germs, and bar soap is always a better value for your money hands down. And this soap has always been great for sensitive skin. Not over drying. Love this, will always have this on hand.

Dramatic improvement on a persistent skin irritation in just a couple of days! Community standards probably would require me to skip the details on the aforementioned skin issue but I can tell you that this soap is excellent to me because it doesn't trigger any allergies, has a slight but clean scent (and what is there is no bother to me as it is not "perfumey" and dissipates before you get out of the shower), leaves no apparent residue since it rinses off easily, and unlike any other soap I've ever tried, Cuticura really seems to have eliminated a problem that other medicated or "anti-bacterial" soaps have failed to do anything with despite years of trying. Wish I'd tried this long, long ago.Only complaint: not available through subscription.

I've had acne for most of my life - it started when I was 10. I'm almost 28 now (also I'm a female). I have mild to moderate acne on my face, chest, shoulders, back and sometimes my neck. To sum it up, I'm sick of it.I've tried a ton of products out there over the past 18 years - proactiv, acne-free, clinda gel, African black soap, tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar capsules, Alba Botanica natural acnedote, etc. I drink a lot of water, eat right, exercise, and I've stopped wearing face make up except for a finishing powder.So every once & a while I scour the internets for something that has worked for someone else and I came across this soap. I've used it for about a month and I can tell a very noticeable difference in the acne on my chest, back and shoulders. My face is clearing up slowly too.Pros:Seems to do the trick. My skin isn't completely clear, but at least I can wear a bathing suit without feeling disgusted by the way my skin looks.The scent is nice, I think.Cons:Does tend to dry out my skin (and my skin is pretty oily), but I suspect that it's only noticeable to me, and it's not enough to bother me. It was also dryer when the weather was dryer, so I think by summertime I won't have this problem anymore.Wears down quickly - I use this soap in the morning on my body, and in the evening on my face (and in the shower after I run, which is about 2-3 times a week). It seems like I'll have to replace this soap every month.Why 4 Stars:I rated this 4 stars because I had decided to cut out dairy from my diet at the same time I started using this soap. I've read some arguments that diary could cause acne in some, and since I've stopped eating dairy and started using this soap, my skin has gotten a lot better.So I'm not sure if it's the soap, or the diary, but I'm going to stick to my current regimen to see if my skin gets even clearer.

This soap is great for severe acne disease, (or hidradenitis suppurativa). It's good with a hot bleach bath! It makes your skin feel tighter and squeeky clean. Take a bath with a cup of bleach in the bath water, soak for a half hour on your back side, then flip over, and soak for a half hour on your front side. Use the Cuticura soap. Do this once a day, every day, (and I stress every day). You should be diligent about this daily bath routine because you need to remove the oil off of your skin, like a person needs to remove oil out of their hair, (that has oily hair)! This will seriously reduce your severe acne symptoms! All in the name of good skin health, our largest organ!

This soap is the only think that keeps my sons skin clear of blackheads.

I use this soap on my face and it's great for keeping acne under control without being too drying. I used to spend money on Proactiv but that got too expensive to I decided to order this bar. It works much BETTER than Proactiv for me, and over a year later I still haven't used up this 1 bar, even though I use it pretty much every day. (I only use it on my face because I like it to last as long as possible.) This is definitely a cheap, lasting soap that will make your skin healthier. I still get the occasional pimple when I'm extremely stressed, but that is to be expected.
