Good Quality
Good step and a good price. Was quite a bit cheaper than the step from the dealer. Install is not easy and takes time and patients so if your not mechanically inclined I would find a profession to install it.

I love it! Easy installation, sturdy, Buy it!
This is a MUST HAVE for todays heavy duty trucks that sit much higher off the ground than they used to. I had already ordered one from a local retailer for $277 + taxes. Then I found this one here for $169.99 saving me over $100. I was able to return my other one and received this one in 2 days. It took me about 45 minutes to install only because the instructions were not 100% clear and took me a few minutes to understand how it all went together. It comes with 2 spacers to allow adjustment to ensure toe space between bumper and step to deploy. My 2017 didn't really need the spacers as I angled mine out to the left and was able to catch the step corner to deploy. They give you 2 sets of long bolts, one longer than the others to allow for the spacers if needed. I was able to use the long bolts even without the spacers because I wanted maximum bolt and thread contact and they did not bottom out. They say you need a 15mm and a 17mm socket in the tool list (among a couple other items) and the 15mm was correct to remove the 2 factory bumper mount bolts, but the 17mm was very sloppy on the kits long bolts for securing the hinged assembly to the mount assembly, the bolts in the kit are actually 15mm to replace the bumper mount bolts and mount the steps support bracket, and 16mm for the long bolts to attach the step mechanism to the mount bracket. Again you can use either the long or the short bolts to mount the step as they do not bottom out in the mount bracket holes with or without the spacers. Works like a champ! Stows away nicely and doesn't look like it's hanging off of the truck. It tucks up nicely right up under the drivers side rear bumper. I'll never own another truck without one of these especially if you are getting older like me and have bad knees!!!!! This is a Godsent!

Well made, perfect fit, and surprisingly easy to install... despite the instructions.
Bottom line up front: This product works as advertised. Well constructed, easy to install, a definite "must have" for people who no longer are able vault up into their truck bed like they used to.Function: Fits my 2014 Ram 1500 Longhorn with dual 5" exhaust. Installed on the driver side. I did not have to use any of the supplied spacer plates to maintain clearance from the exhaust. The step gives me just enough space with the tail gate down for a solid left foot step up to the bed... any more would stick out from the side of the truck, any less and I'd crack my shin every time I climbed up. Folds open and shut "like butter". Does not strike the bumper or exhaust when "slamming" it shut. Barely flexes under my 250 lb weight.Instructions:The instructions are not 100% clear or correct. The parts list and drawings (the bolts) do not match each other, what's called for in the instructions, or what's in the box... but the install is so simple it's kind of intuitive to determine which bolt goes where.Installation: About 30 minutes, but I was going slow as I was unsure this would fit properly with my exhaust. The instructions called for a ratchet with extender and 15mm and 17mm sockets, and a 10mm box wrench. I found the installation was easier using a ratchet with 15mm deep socket for mounting the bracket to the bumper frame, a 10mm ratcheting box wrench to remove the bumper bracket, and a 17mm ratcheting box wrench to tighten down the link arm to the mounting bracket after it was installed for a test fit. There was plenty of room under the bumper for all these tools to work.Recommendation: The bolts are steel, but the link arm and step plate is aluminum. This could eventually lead to bi-metallic corrosion seizing the threads and/or compromising the strength of the threading in the aluminum parts. I will probably remove and reinstall the step, using some blue loctite on the two bumper frame bolts (steel on steel) and anti-seize compound on all the others. Also, be careful not to over-torque a steel bolt into the aluminum parts, else you risk stripping the threads.4 stars for now. 5 stars later, if it doesn't fall off on the highway or fail when I'm standing on it.Upgrading to 5 stars. Made a ~1400 mile trip with the step installed. No issues with shifting or looseness. Nicely maintains about 1/2" separation from my oversized exhaust pipes. The step really is just the right size to be useful while the tailgate is down and tuck away nicely when not in use.
