Ameriwood Home Parsons End Table with Drawer, White

I purchased two of these. The first was to see the quality. And it was the quality I expected. Not spectacular, but as expected for a made in China piece. It assembled very easily and fairly easy to follow instructions... Pictures! Some did not show exact alignment but my guess work paid off. It did however have a broken leg (split really). I went to the manufacture web site, filled out an easy form, and they sent out a replacement in no time at all. The replacement leg however had no weight to it when compared to all the legs that came in the boxes. But it worked. The second was a bit more trouble. But not much. Some holes were not drilled deep enough and some not in the proper location. Not a problem for me and my cordless drill. Also on both, there are some dowels and most the holes were too big for the dowels. They did come with some white glue (Elmer's from Kindergarten class). Just hold off on the glue until you're ready to assemble both parts that the dowels go through so they will align with each other. I have purchased some of the "Swedish design" made in China furniture from Ikea and spent much more, and basically got the same quality. I rather not spend more at Ikea just so I can tell people I got it at Ikea.

This table was way too difficult to put together, I have to say I'm not that good with my hands and in construction but I can follow instruction. Those were so confusing I couldn't even make sense. Once I put together the table it was worse that a kids table, it was wobbling, I don't even understand how you can put things on top of it. And the wood was already damaged in some part. I had to return it right away!

The table looks very nice and appears to be built study enough for my use. The instructions were clear, all the parts were easily marked. What I liked best was that all the small parts, the hardware, were numbered and all the wooden parts were lettered. The instructions gave you easy to see pictures as well as showing you the numbers and letters that the particular step needed to be able to complete it. That was a nice change! It took me longer to get together than I expected though. Some of the parts didn't want to go in as easily as others. At first it seemed very wobbly and unstable. It certainly isn't the type of end table for someone to sit on. However, once I completed all the steps and all the parts were on, it was more stable. I've had a couple of compliments on it already. For the price it was worth what I received. The only other thing I didn't like was the stickers they give you to cover the large holes for the pieces you use to put it together, are very see through and of cheap quality. You get what you pay for. The drawer slides nicely. Perfectly for keeping coasters, a couple of pens and remotes inside.

Overall, the product seems okay for the price. Is sturdy and easy to put together. However, the bottom panel came damaged with very obvious signs of wear and tear despite being new out of the packaging. Buyer beware.

I didn't expect much from this end table, but I just needed something simple enough to set my printer on. The drawer is a little small but it holds my extra printer paper just fine. Reading other reviews, I didn't receive any sort of glue in my package, but luckily I didn't need it. Screwing in the parts, you can tell it's cheaper particle board and maybe over time the pieces could loosen and give way, but without over-tightening, it actually feels pretty sturdy. Be sure to have a phillips screwdriver handy. A flat head was also useful but you might be able to do without. It does have a lot of pieces to it. It took me about 45 minutes to put it together, and that's putting it together while watching tv. One of the legs is cut very short, probably a half inch shorter compared to the other three. So it has a pretty noticeable wobble. The attached based didn't really set it even on the floor. Could just be bad luck on my part that I received one shorter leg. Make sure when using your phillips screwdriver that you are using the right size head. The screws will strip very easily. It's good enough and does its job. It fits nicely where I want it to, so all in all, I'm satisfied. If I spent more on it I'd probably be more disappointed.

Was a bit unsure of whether I should buy this because of the mixed reviews, so I just bought one table first to see what I thought. And I was honestly very pleasantly surprised. It's obviously not going to be the most luxurious looking end table, but for how cheap it is, why would you be so upset? I personally love the way it looks. It is coated in black, much like you would find on an end table at wal mart, except I think it is quite stylish and have not seen any other cute little tables like this. I like how there is a bottom piece so I could put some decorations down there without it looking like I put them on the floor. The drawer is surprisingly sturdy and low-profile. I did notice that there was wood glue of some type included in this package, of which I did not find any use in applying, as the table was sturdy enough the way I built it by following the instructions carefully. I've had this and even moved in the last couple of months. Table remains perfectly intact. I'm guessing some of these reviews saying it broke apart etc, just has to do with whoever built them. I was so satisfied, that I bought a second end table and everything went perfectly fine. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. I built both and they look great in my bedroom and are very sturdy and stylish.

When installing the fastener shafts two of the legs split!!! This should be impossible since they are drilled and have a insert in them. Also almost all of the cam part of the fasteners WILL NOT TIGHTEN!!! I have tried everything but as soon as you move the table the cam loosens. I should get a refund but I need this now to put my new computer station together so I used my own glue and screws and it seems OK(?) but it looks pretty bad! Next time I'll check the reviews. Amazon your the greatest but this table is baaaad!

Easy to assemble by myself. Arrived with all pieces and no damage. Pieces were clearly labeled for assembly. It's the perfect little table for my printer. The drawer serves the purpose for placing the ink. I store my paper on the bottom shelf. I love this item and it's a great fit for my space. ...the table does not wobble when printer is in use either. Pretty sturdy.
