Great choice for first binoculars
These are excellent general-use binoculars, a good step up from cheap sports binoculars without breaking the bank.I've used them in particular for general nature sightseeing, and for stargazing. On the ground, there's little complaint; they aren't sharp enough to make out the fine detail you get with binos that cost several times this, but if they were, you'd being paying more, wouldn't you? Your average user will be plenty impressed, 10x magnification is nothing to sneeze at and make no mistake, these are quality binoculars in this price range so the image will be pleasing to most. They're not half bad for looking at the sky, either. They're easily capable of making out all major features on the surface of the moon (though there will be worse halo and aberration viewing the moon than just about anything else, it's still very tolerable for general viewing), spotting a haze around the Orion Nebula, clearly identifying the colors of red and orange giants, viewing a disk of Venus or Mars or the bare outline of the moons of Jupiter, and maybe a bulge of rings around Saturn if you have sharp eyes and a clear night. They make a good companion to a telescope, and the ISS looks pretty sweet if you catch it at the right time.In summary, there are a lot of wonderful things you can see with binoculars in this range, and these are an excellent value.

Good for hunting, not good for serious birding.
I wanted to like these binoculars. They're not awful, but if you're a serious birder, you'll want something better. They'd be perfect for a hunter. The lenses have some kind of glare on them, no matter how I position the eye rings, the space between the lenses, or with glasses or contacts, there is a whitish glare in the 5 o'clock position of the right lens. Or, it's in the left lens if I'm looking skyward. They do not stay focused very well. I've tried following warblers through oak trees and I basically have to keep my fingers on the focuser to make sure I can see details, even when it's moving along the same branch. However, I was using a borrowed pair of Zeiss Conquest 10x42 before this, so I was a little spoiled. But, after using these for over 20 hour-long observations, I can say that I am not happy with them, but, I don't hate them. For the money, I got good binoculars. I'm going to give these to my son once I save up and get the Zeiss ones.

Very good
Wish they had an image stabilizer but these are great binoculars, nonetheless. I used a friend's first and liked his so I ordered my own and am satisfied.

Best bang for the buck!!
I found this product while searching for vortex optics binoculars, I believe they are a sister company or even bought out from them. The quality of these binoculars are amazing. Well worth the price and comes with a great warranty! I have looked outside into trees and woods, the picture is clear, crisp and great quality. I will be using these for hunting and I don't see them being a problem at all. They are waterproof and fogproof which is a major ++ in my book.If your looking for a great pair of bino's look no further and purchase these. I'm completely satisfied.

Haven't had binoculars since I was a teenager and bought these for a trip to Costa Rica. They were fabulous. Great for starting out.
