It does what I expected to do.
I upgraded to this type two charger because I discovered my breaker box could support a higher amperage charger. I am very pleased with the capabilities of this charger and it is nice to now only need to charge my EV maybe once a week, instead of the 2-3 times on the older, lower amperage charger I used to use (but still own). As I always think to myself when charging my EV, "so far, so good".

Works with my 2021 Nissan Leaf
I purchased this as a faster charging solution to use with my existing Dryer outlet. I also purchased the Splitvolt Splitter and the extension cord. My outlet is in the laundry room, which is on the other side of the garage (so some distance from where I park the 2021 Nissan Leaf). So far, it works great, I am getting a full 24amps and around 5.5kw charge time. The quality of the Charger and the Splitter are top notch. I love the readout you get on the Splitvolt Splitter, it tells you exactly what's going on, and the amount of electricity you are pulling. It's also a good additional level of protection, as it has its own breaker and will not allow more than 24amps. I would highly recommend this along with the charger if you are using a standard dryer outlet with a max 30amps.As expected, the Charger just works. You plug it in and the car starts charging. It has a few lights on it, power, charging and then a couple of Fault warning lights, but luckily I haven't tripped those yet. The cable is a little over 16'ft, which seem a bit shorter than others, but it works for my setup.Another thing to note is that its IP rated: IP55. This basically means the charging box is not waterproof, make sure to research this for your setup, if you charge in your driveway or outside, then this may be an issue (especially in the rain). I believe it can handle a small amount of moisture, but can not be submerged in water (or rain puddles). Again, I would research this and see if there are ways with your setup to keep it from getting hit by direct rain/dew (if outside).I also reached out to the company when the splitter was out of stock, they got right back to me and helped get the order moving along, once the Splitter became available. I got the sense this is a pretty popular item, so they come and go pretty quickly.Lastly, if you try ordering from their website direct, they will still ship using amazon logistics, so either way, it will be shipped via Amazon. It actually took longer to order through their website, so if Amazon is out of stock, I would wait until they are back in stock and then order with Amazon Prime or just order through Amazon direct.Overall, so far, I am very happy with the setup. Like I mentioned above, the quality of the charger and the splitter are top notch and really is a unique system, compared to the others Amazon sells. Definitely beats adding another outlet, if your house doesn't have the capabilities and you would need to upgrade your electrical panel. As a point of caution, I am not an electrician, so this is just my experience. I've read It's recommended to speak to an electrician about your setup and have them look everything over to make sure you won't have any issues.

overpriced junk. almost stranded after failed in rain. no support from customer service at all.
update #2: Another communication from Splitvolt making me aware of a warranty for future purchases yet still offering no help beyond previous offer of a $100 credit. By far the worst quality and customer service I’ve ever experienced. The customer svc person even went as far as to explain what IP55 means, as if I somehow didn’t know or didn’t look it up ahead of my purchase. I replaced this piece of crap charger with one half as expensive with higher amperage and a longer cable and this one is in the trash. Don’t risk being stranded with a junk charger like this with no customer service to stand behind a faulty unit.update: splitvolt is refusing to replace this despite acknowledging possible defect and reassuring the device is supposed to be water resistant. It is out of warranty and they’ve established some sort of customer loyalty program where they give you a $100 dollar credit towards purchase if you ship them the defective one. Seems like planned obsolescence. Even with a credit the replacement approaches $200. Better quality chargers are available for better prices with longer cables as well as cheaper better quality dryer splitters. DO NOT buy this piece of junk.destroyed in the rain…supposed to be waterproof…water intrusion all into the LED lights and it wasn’t immersed…stay away unless you want to be stranded which I almost was.

Charges my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq EV at 4.7 kWh.
Prior to purchasing Splitvolt to charge my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq EV I was getting a whopping 1.3 kWh or 4 miles per hour on the charger that came with the Hyundai. Now using the Nema outlet on my dryer, I'm getting level 2 charging at close to 5 kWh or 23 miles per hour.I purchased the longer cable (26 ' ) as well because I did not have an outlet in my garage so the charger just reaches my J1772 port on my car when I fish the cable through my basement door from my dryer. The cable is heavy duty and received no charging faults when I plugged it in. The J1772 plastic connector on the Splitvolt cable seems decently built and secures firmly to the latch on EV port on my car.Overall, 3 hours and 50 minutes to get to 80% from 20% on my car at level 2 with the Splitvolt. So far, I like the level 2 ability and really didn't have space in my electrical panel to add a 32 Amp fuse to use a app-based level 2 charging system like Charge Point. So the Splitvolt fits my needs until I can upgrade my panel which I plan on doing in the future when I get an EV with larger range.Hopefully, the Splitvolt lasts and the J1772 plug on the cable stays in shape from repeated charging. So nice to add some juice at home and not sit at public chargers. I will update if things change down the road.
