I love Louisa Clark!!
I was slightly sceptical of this book before reading it, as I had been a little bit disappointed by ‘After You’. I am so very glad that I read it though, because I absolutely loved it!I loved all the characters-good and bad but especially Margot De Witt and her bulgy eyed pug, Dean Martin! They were hilarious and had me in stitches!!!I don’t see this book as part of the ‘Me Before You’ trilogy though. I think of ‘Me Before You’ as a stand alone novel and then ‘After You’ and ‘Still Me’ as a separate series!Anyhow, I loved this book and can only hope that there will be more to come!!

A box of yummy chocolates
Still Me is the third book in a trilogy. I hadn't read the first two, but that didn't matter. The story is so skilfully developed that I just dived into it and in no time felt like a little fish frolicking in a friendly pond. All the characters were fully fleshed out and multi-layered. They weren't just cardboard cut-outs, but talking, feeling, walking people complete with their shadows, their past, their secrets and their quirks. Their stories flew and crossed with one another, and all of them were delivered to a satisfactory resolution. New beginnings, heart breaks, up and downs, injustices and great acts of kindness were assembled together to create a rich background to what, in essence, was a classical love story.Heart-warming, life-affirming, sweet, uplifting and adorable are the kind of superlatives I wouldn't hesitate to use to sum up Still Me, and that's some compliment because I am not a romantic. I enjoyed it just like I sometimes enjoy a box of chocolates, which always takes me by surprise as chocolate isn't my thing.

Enjoyed another chapter in Lou's life
I absolutely loved Me before you. I found the whole story highly inspiring & touching, one of those love stories that stays with you long after you finish reading them and one that you come back to from time to time. The writer managed to magically combine euthanasia and disability, and blend them into the perfect love story . When I finished it I could not wait to read more about lovely Lou and the way that chance encounter with Will would change her life.Perhaps I wasn't prepared to hear about how Lou's love life goes on without Will... I did not enjoy the second book much as I thought most of it was too grey and lacked the spirit of the first book. Lou's life had not changed as I would have expected after Will's death.Although I enjoyed the third book and it's setting in the exciting city of NY, which means that, thanks to Will, Lou has managed to explore what the world has to offer, I felt disappointed in the way that the storie develops and ends.I cannot warm up to the character that she chooses in the end. The way the story develops left me with the feeling that most of their time together ended up in arguments and misunderstandings and Lou either miserable or disappointed. Maybe I was expecting somebody more like Will: challenging, exciting, somebody who shares her happiness and colorful outlook on life, someone who pushes her to want more, a second Will.I felt from the beginning that the other guy had a lot to offer and was perfect for her. He was similar to Will in so many ways, he was easy going, handsome, funny, encouraging, romantic...and whenever they are toghether Lou is happy, carefree, having fun and enjoying life. He was there for her whenever she needed him, and he waited patiently for her. I didn't like the way he is just suddenly vanished, I do not find the reason strong enough. After all, most of us have to adapt one to another somewhat and that doesn't necessarily mean that we are not allowed to be ourselves. Lou changed in many ways because of Will and that was a good thing. It didn't give me the impression in the story, that he was trying to change her in any negative way , quite the opposite, he liked her for how she was. I thought the reason for finishing with him was very silly and petty and very unlike Lou. Imagine finishing with somebody because he is got a very important meeting, that he wants her to be part of, and he pleads to just change tights...And we are supposed to believe that the other guy gives away everything and that doesn't mean that she is trying to change him! A bit unbelievable the whole lot! That said, I still enjoyed reading the book.

Brilliant, captivating, un-put-downable
Where do I start? I thought "Me After You" was a great book, I thought "After You" was good. But this one ? "Still Me" is a brilliant book! It is a true rollercoaster, written in a way that just captivates you and makes you not want to put it down for even so much as a second. Forget about your chores and your work, this book is more important!Louisa Clark is so human, so funny and so brave, you feel like you really know her, you totally get her. You would want her to be your best friend or something. It takes a very talented writer to depict this character in this way, to get her so right. It makes you think of Bridget Jones a little bit, but it is much, much better. I am not sure if after three books, there will still be another sequel, but there will definitely be more books coming from JoJo Moyes, and boy, am I impatiently waiting to read these...

A powerful and moving final book of the trilogy
This one is definitely the best of the "Me Before You'" trilogy by a country mile, and I really loved it. I have been a bit so-so about the first two books in the series as they didn't quite grab me. But here things are very different. I think it's because Louisa finally has the chance to come out from the shadow of her past and the two men she's been involved with, and work out who she is on her own terms which makes this particular book so stonkingly good.It also helps that it's set in New York, and the family Louisa works for is very rich and very different - so there's a great contrast between her life and theirs. As the plot moves on, and she develops important friendships with other people in her building, there's a great sense of her emerging from her chrysalis to be what she was always meant to be. In amongst the plot, there's the up and down love story, and I think that was well handled indeed. In the final chapters, the plotlines come together in a totally brilliant way, and I really loved the way Louisa ultimately decided to live her life and her choice of the man to accompany her - on her own terms - in it. Pretty darn near perfect.
