Great fun, very enjoyable
This book was great fun for my 11-year-old daughter and I to look through. It isn’t like all the books that came before it; it isn’t one murder mystery written from Hazel’s perspective. In addition to short stories, it had interesting information pertaining to other authors of murder mysteries, other real murder mysteries, and various codes that we will definitely be using to write coded messages to each other. We also loved how there were different sections of the book written from the perspective of Daisy or Alexander instead of Hazel. My daughter laughed out loud when Daisy was writing.

Memories are made of this...
I sent this to my sister-in-law so she could keep her nine year old quietly occupied during a holiday flight. It worked very well indeed. My niece couldn't put it down till she finished it. In fact, it worked rather too well. The family now has photos of my niece on a gondola, reading; in St Mark's Square, reading; near the Bridge of Sighs, reading. A visit to one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, but it just couldn't compete with a good read. We're still chuckling about it.

Good fun
A fun, easy-read book. Although it is aimed at a much younger audience, I still enjoy this series of books. It is Mallory Towers meets the Famous Five - and makes a nice, light read. The characters are not as fully developed as in adult books - but you know that is going to be the case when you pick up a book aimed at younger people. This book is a compilation aimed at filling in the gaps in other books - describing cases solved that are alluded to in the rest of the series. You can either read it in sequence (as I did) or dip in and out of the stories you want to read. There are also recipes, unsolved crimes and favourite authors. All-in-all, an interesting read.

perfect for my 9 year old
My daughter pretty much inhaled this series during lock-down and every time a new one arrived from Amazon she would be quiet for hours whilst she read it. The best money I have ever spent!

Review by 10 year old daughter...
I really enjoyed reading this amazing book. I love the Murder Most Unladylike series. Although there are no murders for young detectives- Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong- to solve the other mysteries are just as interesting. Robin Stevens has been very clever making these mysteries, nothing is too obvious. I loved it!
