Even with the semi open world structure of the game became quite linear in it's second half! The challenge is well balanced at lower difficulties but for the real challenge must be played on hard and above difficulty.

Wow what an amazing game this is, i loved it from start to finish i was a little worried about this because the first game was so great and i didn't think they could match it but they certainly did and more, the game play is nice the graphics are great. This game had the much better story line but the first game was more scarier but don't worry this game has it's fair share of scares too, the enemies are frightening and original which will have you on the edge of your seat, a lot of things return from the first game such as the green gel, the same weapons (but better), the strange nurse, the mirrors. I feel they may have a little over complicated the upgrade system but it isn't that big of a problem i feel they should have kept the green gel to upgrade everything, this time green gel only upgrades abilities such as stamina and health, and then there is a really rare red gel which allows you to unlock further upgrades so you level up 1, 2 and 3 and then use a red gel to get access to level 4 and 5, the weapons you upgrade with parts that you find throughout the game such as steal pipes, nails, fuses and then you can find high grade parts which are like the weapon version of red gel it allows you to upgrade the higher levels ect, you can also craft ammunition with gunpowder and other items you find through the game which was a good idea and it helped a lot, ammo isn't a problem on this game like it was on the first game same with stamina it lasts so much longer on this game where on the first game it ran out so quickly which was frustrating. This game is trippy at times makes you uncomfortable and on edge which is great some of the enemies like the camera enemy, the guardian, and the humming ghost they are truly frightening and have you bricking it, they done such a fantastic job with this game, everything was great i can't think of anything negative about it, if you are a true survival horror fan then this is definitely up your street and you won't be disappointed. I have to give this game 10/10 great job i hope there is a part 3.

Sotto consiglio di un amico, mi sono finalmente deciso a giocare questo The Evil Within 2, pur avendo appena provato il primo capitolo. Mai una raccomandazione è stata tanto apprezzata. Un mix riuscitissimo di azione, stealth e survival horror, questo titolo rappresenta un must buy per gli appassionati dell'horror videoludico. Impossibile non riconoscere le influenze inquietanti dei più noti esponenti del genere, da Silent Hill 2 a The Last of Us e ovviamente Resident Evil 4 (col quale The Evil Within è accomunato dal genio di Shinji Mikami). Col suo taglio cinematografico e impreziosita da un doppiaggio degno di un'opera di questo calibro, la trama è riuscita a catturarmi e ad appassionarmi abbastanza da non indurmi mai a voler saltare le scene d'intermezzo o i dialoghi secondari coi personaggi non giocanti. Essendo io un casual gamer, non me la sento di esprimere un'opinione sul comparto tecnico, ma da quel poco che ne mastico, mi pare che il lavoro svolto dagli sviluppatori sia assolutamente all'altezza della generazione a cui The Evil Within 2 appartiene. Completare il mio primo playthrough a difficoltà normale mi ha tenuto impegnato quasi 28 ore. Confesso di essermi impegnato in un'esplorazione piuttosto esaustiva del mondo di gioco (e al momento sto continuando a giocare per sbloccare tutti i trofei). Utenti più sbrigativi intenzionati unicamente a portare a termine la storia principale, potrebbero pertanto essere più celeri del sottoscritto. Nel complesso, però, per il prezzo ridotto a cui è possibile farselo consegnare a casa, mi pare si tratti di soldi spesi ottimamente.
