Another great book in a great series. These books are excellent when it comes to depicting a specific historic topic and era. They are very clearly written and well organised. There are helpful times lines and maps. And the pages are filled with a copious amount of facts. Perhaps most importantly it is all presented very well, with colour pictures and art on every page. It’s also a joy for parents to browse through, although I prefer the more off the beaten path topic in the series like the book about the Maya culture. Anyway, our 9-year old daughter really likes these books and has read all of them. Now her younger brother, who at only 6 years old has an is fascinated by ancient Greece and Egypt is starting to browse through them as well. Recommended.

I was aware cats helped the Egyptians in their everyday lives but l did not know their respect and regard for these wonderful creatures played their part in the Egyptians becoming a conquered nation. Book great …shame it was creased.

Bought this book to help my Year 4 child with his Ancient Egypt school topic. The book provides excellent, clear and interesting information. Perfect.

I really like this series of books. I purchased all of them for my daughter and we read them together. The books are well laid out, lots of interesting pictures and you can dip in and out as it is split into sections. The time line is useful and we have been able to tie together the different books for different time periods.
