Good Product at a good price
User is 79, 4' 9", unstable (in more ways than one), 125-130 pounds. Her eccentric ways immediately pointed out the reality/limits of said device. It needs a cross brace across the front (like others on Amazon) to stabilize it which of course then blocks, the toilet itself. This "unit" (79 years old), decided to attempt on the first try, a "right turn clyde" lateral move instead of using both arms to stand up in line with the toilet. User error -100%. Thus the flattened steel that sits under both seats twisted outward on the "starboard" side. One would think we were splitting atoms over here but if this "unit" had simply used the arms properly and stood up in line, then everything would have been fine. So, I was surprised by the heaviness of the box it came in. I thought this was going to be some strong plastic or thin tubular steel. No sir. This product is robust and I am very pleased with that discovery. Second, (as an IT person who has done years of of tech support and writing), the labeling of the parts is excellent. Third, the manual says on the first page, give us your constructive criticism (in their own words). Humility. Fourth, the parts are labeled in a picture on the early pages of the manual. Fifth, the manual has a good sized font, is in English and is well written and organized. Sixth, in the early pages it says to go to the YouTube video about this (yes, outstanding!). Seventh, clearly, they tested their own instructions, edited them and honed them down to actual work. Eighth, you do what they tell you and in about 10-15 min, you will have it assembled and installed. Ninth, the price was right.I read the other reviews and understand the objections about stability but you need to think about how else you could do this. My view is that you would need that tubular stainless steel bolted to the floor and the back wall to have an absolute stable system and this does, to the degree possible what it can. Ceramic will crack if you put too much stress on with clamps (think tile clippers), especially given that cheaper toilets are made in china. (small "c" intentional) This "American Standard" toilet was just replaced because of a vertical tank crack that caused a leak. (only 2 years old). That's a manufacturing flaw. Just look at the sheet rock and wood flooring scandals from China. Maybe, on the flat steel sitting under the seat, a kind of "bend" could be made like the wingtips on a Boeing, so that the arm cannot splay out and would simply "catch" the inside of the bowl. (Maybe that has already been considered)Last, you might want to give thought to cheap toilets that have plastic bolts holding the seat and this brace if the user is heavy. Watch the ceramic however if you start thinking metal bolts. (Talk to a plumber) The entire purpose of this product is to keep people moving and independent because if they are not, you have to go to diapers and urine proof bed covers or bedpans. If they are not using your toilet and this product, then they're probably bedridden which is a 24/7 op.This company cannot make the product any more robust than it did and thus I recommend it for its purposes and with all mentioned caveats in mind. Well done on the thought and preparation of your product.

Fixings are not suitable to fit all not UK ??
Stated would fit all toilet fixings : the holes on item were different width apart from what is standard in UK. Width adjustable but we could not fit as you need to use the existing toilet seat screws which are a fixed distance apart. Unfortunately had to return : did like the product and could not get in touch with company as based in US to see if this was a US version and not UK !

Nicer looking than free standing support.
Lovely and neat looking. Easy to make up and easy to remove arms if you want to. Looks a lot tidier than a free standing set and once attached to the toilet seat it is sturdy.

Useless
Labelled up all wrong, A went to B, and 1 to 2! When I sorted that out it was only to find that the main holes that fit frame to toilet do not match the holes in the toilet. Complete waste of my time and money
