Travoy, Compact Folding Cargo Bike Trailer

ちょっとしたものを自転車で運ぶのに購入しました。思っていた以上に頑丈で、運転もスムーズでした。おまけにかっこいい！道ゆく人に「どこで買ったののかとよく聞かれました。またアフターサービスも迅速丁寧でした。いい買い物をしたと思っています。

Très compact et robuste, ce petit chariot est idéal pour le camping. Il prend peu d'espace dans mon coffre. Il se monte rapidement lorsque j'en ai besoin. Très stable en arrière du vélo. Je le recommande sans hésiter. Le seul petit point négatif, il est dispendieux.

Der Anhäger läßt sich sehr leicht zusammenbauen und schnell in einer Tasche, die mitgeliefert wird verstauen. Die Befestigung am Fahrrad (an der Sattelstütze) ist einfach. Leider hat mein E-Bike einen Akku hinter dem Sattelrohr, deshalb schleift der Anhänger am Gepäcktrager. Burley bietet zwar eine Extra-Kupplung, die aber mit eigenen Befestigungsteilen ca. 50 Euro im Fachhandel kostet. Schade, denn das Teil ist wirklich leicht und praktisch. Toll ist, dass man es mit entsprechenden extra zu kaufenden Taschen sogar in den Supermarkt mitnehmen kann. Es steht alleine, dank eines Ständers am Boden. Also, für alle, die ein "normales" Bike haben oder 50 Euro extra ausgeben wollen eine sehr gute Anschaffung. Absolut solide gebaut und sehr leicht zu bedienen. Durch den Handgriff kann man es sehr leicht im ÖPNV verwenden und zusätzlich zu dem Bike z.B. in den Bus laden (wenn der Busfahrer mitspielt).

This trailer is a classic. Super portable and light. When attached you hardly feel it at all. It is easy to forget you are pulling a trailer and stupidly can ride in your old manner. Foolish riders are the only problem. Since people NEVER make a mistake they then blame the trailer. There is no trailer that is this light, folds so small, and can be used as a shopping cart and be taken into a store to be packed up and therefore not be stolen. One review said that the straps got loose. I went out and tested mine several times from multiple angles. They never got loose. These are the exact same straps and locking lever that have been used as shoulder straps on thousands of backpacks for decades. I think this person might have threaded the strap through the locking lever the wrong way. The company has improved the trailer from the first version years ago. They added a hitch that disconnects easier, an extension on the attachment bar to clear longer racks, a better kickstand to have the trailer stand up vertically without falling (great for shopping) and a rubber grip for when one uses it as a shopping cart, or to wheel your stuff up to your hotel room without unpacking your bike. I can not get into the bags. I have waterproof bags already and with no bags you can fit GIGANTIC boxes on the trailer. Front Rack is on he Brompton Frame, not on the handlebars. The Tongina bracket lets the handlebars turn without turning the Amazon bag.

I’ve used the travoy a couple of times now, and it is perfect for my needs. I hauled a bunch of picnic equipment, including an Easy-Up, cooler, chair, etc. Next Haul was goods from a local farmers market. It pulls so easily, I checked to see if it was still there. I’ve done two cycling trips in Ireland, and would take the travoy on my next trip. Less top-heavy than panniers.
