Perfect Size for Side Dishes
It's just the two of us so... When my non-stick cookware died a long and painful death (may it rest in pieces), we needed to replace it, and the sticking point for us was a small enough pan to throw a can of corn in to heat it up for dinner. We always nuked our veggies, but they didn't stay warm for a long enough time to matter. Enter this little gem: everything stays nice and hot on the table as long as you replace the lid after serving from it. It's the perfect size for two people, and maybe up to four folks if using two cans.We have several pieces of non-coated cast iron, and I LOVE the way they perform, so I took a deep breath and ordered several Enameled Cast Iron pieces.1. This is perfect for oven-to-table use because it's nice-looking as well as tough as nails.2. The heat retention is fantastic; everything stays hot while you're eating.3. The heat distribution while cooking is the best I've seen: it caramelizes onions and browns meat evenly and far more rapidly than my non-stick pans and crates a beautiful fond on the bottom which is the cook's ideal result4. The cleanup is quick and easy, a nylon scrub pad (do NOT use anything that can scratch the surface such as Brillo or cleansers) is all that's needed. I don't put these in a dishwasher, per the manufacturer's recommendation to hand wash.

A cute addition to your Lodge collection
It's cute addition to my enameled cast iron collection. The price you pay for in India is the only downside of the product.Otherwise,a go to casserole when cooking for one person.

Better than expected, but just 1.5 quarts
Very nice saucepan, possibly the best of this size I've ever owned. Great heat distribution, relatively easy to clean, seems to withstand putting in the dishwasher (which is not recommended). My only issue is that it is 1.5 quarts just to the top. Anyother other saucepan, etc., has had a bit more room, but not this. I've adjusted some of my recipes to deal with this. This isn't "the" premium brand, but I'm still fairly happy.

Rim edges is not enameled.
The rim edges still needs to be wipe, dried & oiled every each washing. Rust came out when you air dry but was removed by wiping with oil. Nice and good anyway. I've just used it once and still way too early to say more. Anyway so far the lesson i learnt is don't let it air dry. Needs wiping right away after washing.
