Sally & the Feds
My house is a tip & I've only had 3 & a half hours sleep but I've just finished within 24hours of purchasing this book (not bad as I fitted my reading around a 2 and 5 year old - hence not a lot of sleep!)What can I say - well to put it quite simply it was great.I've always liked Sally but this book gave you her history and helped you understand why she is the way she is. I hurt with her when you saw why she had her insecurities and felt for her as she battled to try and overcome them.I wasn't sure about Vance and Galen (the Feds!) in the previous books but Ms Sinclair brought them to life in If Only and they are now firmly one of my favourite menage MFM trios I've read. They worked so well together, and bounced off each other as only long term friends and partners can.If Only is the first menage in the Shadowlands series and I wasn't sure how it would feel against the rest of the series (which I love but is MF only) but I shouldn't have worried as Cherise delivered as ever. It was also nice seeing how the other Masters and subs from the previous books are doing as they kept popping back up.Finally I just wanted to say that I loved Cherise Sinclair's small hidden reference to another great series of menage books by Sophie Oak about a small little town called Bliss. If you liked the menage in this book and are looking for other similar reads check out that series (there are lots in the series though so make sure you look at the reading order on the Sophie Oak website!)

Another in the Shadowlands series which I really enjoyed but it is not without its flaws!
Another in the Shadowlands series which I really enjoyed but it is not without its flaws. If I didn't know Sally from previous books perhaps this would have felt more believable but in all honesty this was disappointing as I felt that Sally wasn't very consistent with the character presented in previous tales in this series. In and of itself this was a good story but within the context of the series it felt to me, as if the character of Sally was a different person. Having said that I enjoyed this book. I liked the story , I liked the way the menage played out and and I liked the telling. Well written, with some hot scenes and sexy scenarios, whilst building a good thriller like tension and story. I recommend this to others but I think it both needs you to have read the previous in the series and sets up some all be it reluctant, disappointment, and feelings of being let down. I do realise this may well seem like a confused review and in some ways it is. I both liked and disliked this particular story, In the end I did enjoy and like it but I can totally understand that others won't. Perhaps this is best read after a break from this series of tales and with a little distance. It stands more on its own merits then, I have still given this 4/5 stars as it was a good read, a proper novel length without being overly stretched or distorted and you definitely get your money's worth. Overall go for it but for the purists of the series be prepared!

Not as good as the others :-(
Having read all of Cherise Sinclair's books I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them and for me she is an autobuy. However I don't think that this book was up to her previous standards and if I read this as the first book from this author I don't know if I would automatically want to read any of her other books.I've been looking forward to Sally and the Feds story for the last couple of books in this series and unfortunately I feel disappointed now that I've read it. For me the appeal of these books and what sets them apart is the depth that Cherise brings to the characters and the tight plots and prose. This book waffled. The characters' motivations and actions just didn't ring true and the wrapping up of the harvest association plot line and the added HEA's of previous characters felt clumsy and contrived. In addition the use of such descriptions as 'shadowkittens' quickly became stale and then cliched.Overall I think that this is quite a good book but it just isn't up to the standards of the previous books. It's worth reading for the story of Sally and the Feds but if you haven't read this author before I wouldn't recommend it as a good example of her work and advise you to try something else.

Truly awesome storytelling!
I am so in love with and addicted to the shadowlands that its rediculous!!!The storylines are always so strong and involved that they keep you gripped all the way through. The characters are so full of life and depth that you feel like you know them.I wish I had a family like that of the members at the shadowland!!!I didnt think that the storys could get better but they just seem to keep doing so.I loved this story so much and was so happy to get Sallys story as I really had liked her and the Feds from earlier books.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Another triumph
Was so looking forward to Sally finding the one but, being the imp she is, she found her two. I'm currently re-reading the Shadowlands series for the third time and there's always something new to discover or remember. I love Cherise Sinclair's writing style and would read anything she'd written, knowing it would be beautifully written and just flow. If you haven't read her books yet, I would strongly recommend you do so or you could miss a real treat. How about a Welsh Dom or sub for a future story?

If Only (Masters of the Shadowlands book 8) by Cherise Sinclair
O.M. G what a absolutely fantastic book. I just love these books, they are very hard to put down once you start reading it. I love how Sally got her Doms. With each book you enter into the world of the Shadowlands Masters. Each Master is a good strong character, that you feel would rock your world if he was real, we live in hope. I would totally recommend it to everyone. ps gotta download the next.
