Volant 38240 Cool Air Intake Kit

Ok, I admit I was hesitant because of some YouTube videos saying this only helped at the upper end of the rpm range. But I am so happy I pulled the trigger and bought it. I got my 2014 Tacoma with 15k miles on it. It may have had the original air filter, I'm not sure. It lacked the lower end pep that my V8 Titan had, and I was missing that. No more, however. The truck is so much better now, pickup is so much better. Installation was easy, just know the new air box is held in place by two different sized bolts... took me a while to figure that part out.

The vacuum doesn’t sit in place correctly. The screw wholes to mount the box down didn’t match up. Didn’t come with screws. The front intake ports wholes didn’t quite match up either. A year later I’m writing this review, is because my vacuum not sitting right in the ports is really bothering me. I see every time I’m under the hood. I tried to deal with it. But I can’t. I’m happy with the performance, just not satisfied with the build of it. I should of returned it when I first installed it. If everything fit perfect, I’d consider another for my other truck

My gas mileage went from 16-18mpg to 13-15mpg because of this thing.It was too much work putting it in so I didn’t put the stock one back in.
