Might work but cheap plastic connector got stuck in the motherboard
I have not yet had a change to test if this works properly. However, the main issue is that the plastic connector that is inserted in the motherboard got stuck. I do not even understant how that is supposed to happen, given that there is not locking mechanism. The first time I inserted in a USB header it "clicked" and was impossible to remove. Pulling did not help.In fact, by pulling the only result was to pull away the socket from the motherboard. If you decide to buy this, be aware of this potential issue.EDIT: spelling

Flawlessly working
This adapter is made very nicely.USB 3.1 g2 is fitting internal connector almost perfectly.Advantages:Works with full speed of MB port.Looks like it is a native part of it.Disadvantages: none.If you have chosen a board without native USB-C port but it has double USB 3 Internal ports, this product is perfect for a case with USB-C.It was used with Fractal Define R6 USB-C and ASROCK Taichi XE to connect USB-C HDD and Samsung S8.

Does the job!
PCI plate isn't the nicest I've ever seen (I think it's just galvanized rather than any other kind of coating?) but it's perfectly fine for the purpose intended. I found I needed a right angle converter to get the connection to my motherboard, but once it was in it works great.

Does exactly what it needs to do
This little guy was an absolute lifesaver for me. When my motherboard died and I needed to get a new one, I forgot to check the sockets needed. To my delight, this thing was exactly what I needed. However, the only thing holding it back from 5 stars is it's machining process. It's a bit sharp around the edges. Literally. Be careful when running cables past this thing as the corners might catch and cut your hands which happened with me. If they smoothed out the edges, it'd get 5 stars.Other than that little pet peeve, if you need a usb 3.1 adapter for your motherboard, this little guy will do exactly what you need.

Read the manufacturer’s description carefully before buying
The item does appear to stuck in the slot. But at the moment that isn’t a problem. It does the job I wanted. It allowed me to connect the cases front usb C cable to my motherboard (which didn’t have a dedicated slot). All I can say is too read the description and understand the limitations. It’s a work around to a problem rather than an ideal solution
