Ryobi 672036001 PK2 Collet Adaptors - 1/4"

These adapters work perfectly. I'm using a secondhand Harbor Freight plunge router and now my large collection of 1/4in shank bits don't have to be limited to being used in my smaller, mostly weaker routers.Plenty tight for safely holding bits in place, no runout at all. The small lip on one end is fantastic for preventing the adapter from slipping into the collet.My only issue whatsoever is that once the adapter is in place, it's tight enough that it can be pretty hard to get back out of the collet, but that's to be expected with something machined to these tolerances.

Didn't really think I needed 2, but it was about the same price as a single from a no name brand. Standard collet. Quality meets expectations. No issues.

Got the 2-pack figuring that I'd probably have one break by now, but after extensive use, the first one has yet to have any problems - It fits exactly perfect in my RE180PL , and grips the 1/4 shank bits just fine. I believe these would also fit most other 1/2" shank routers with no problem, so if (and probably when) I upgrade or replace that old 2 HP Ryobi router (which I got for free from a junk pile and fixed it up), These adapters will probably outlast even the new router.

Lost my ¼ shank insert adapter thing so I got this hoping it fit since it has a lip on it just like the kobalt one did. It fits perfect! Now I have two in case I lose another one.

I naturally got these to put 1/4 in shaft router bits in my Ryobi router with a half inch collet. The smaller shaft does fit in it and can be used in the router. Be aware that the shaft of the bit does need to go all the way in this. I tried to use it with the shaft about half in and it would not hold tight. All the way in works fine. So it is hard to adjust the depth. It is not a big problem since the depth can be adjusted other ways.
