Son says Great!
I will copy & paste verbatim what my son wrote to me, and I don't know a THING about Ice Hockey, except there's ice. What I WILL add on my own is that communication with the company was excellent. This was a birthday gift for my son.I received an email with after the order with "tips & information" about the inserts. What to do before permanently insertingthem, for the best fit...etc. (Which I printed out and gave to my son). I even received a follow up email, just asking if I hadany questions, received them yet, etc. They did take TAD longer, not much than I thought, to get here. A smidge. Probably because of US Customs. (They come from Canada). While awaiting them, my son and I discussed why he put them on his 'wish list'. He gave the technical reasons and also stated that this company had agreat reputation in the 'hockey world'. Word of mouth reputation. ALL the players in his league had mentioned them. So, here is hisreview he wrote to me:"I really like having them in my skates. I wear Mako’s which already wrap around my foot but having these pads inserted removes the little bit of negative space in my toe area. I can’t really tell if I am skating faster, but I am more confident on my edges since my feet feel completely wrapped. Having these inserted prevents that very very very slight movement when doing edge work and makes me feel more connected to the ice since my boot doesn’t shift at all.I don’t think these are a substitute or a fix for improperly fitted skates, but for those who like their skates to fit like a glove, these help tremendously."I would say you can buy these with confidence, and order without worry from this company.

Get it, you won’t regret it.
Been using these for 8 years. Super comfy and perfect for taking up empty space in the toe caps allowing for minimal wasted power.

Small cheap, but can be a high impact device!
This insert changed my size 9 Easton Mako M8 EEs from a good compromise for my wide foot, to a pair of really precise and comfortable skates, really helping my performance as a recreational hockey player. It simply made me feel more in contact with my skates and the ice.My old Makos are now retired for a new pair of Bauer Supreme S190s EEs (bought on black Friday :)..), that I'm currently breaking in and even though the Bauers are more snug and tight than the Mako's, my toes are also here wiggling a bit too happily and made me order a new pair of inserts from Powerfoot. I'll let you all know how it goes, but I can't see how this can be a $25 wrongly spent based on my previous experience. Small and cheap thingy, but can have a big impact on how you're able to use your expensive skates...

Buy these!
I don’t typically write reviews on anything, but when you research these, a lot on information is put out by the manufacturer, and not much by people that aren’t backing the product through the manufacturer themselves. With that being said, I was afraid these were a gimmick, but after getting a new style skate after years of the old style boots my toes felt like they had too much negative space above them.Even if you think you don’t need them, it’s worth trying them out. With these on place your foot feels snug all the way down, and the front of your skates are way more responsive.I also experienced almost no fatigue behind the ball of my foot after installing these.I only have 4 starts on the overall because I’m not sure how long they will actually last. If I wear them out, I will definitely buy another set!

Great innovation for new or old skates.
I put these in a pair of Graf skates that were honestly past their life span. With the inserts, I instantly regained full contact with the foot bed from the ball of my foot forward through my toes. The skates felt snug and new. The improvement was most noticeable in the first few quick steps. I realized how badly I had been curling my toes to lift my skates once that play in the toe of the skates was filled by the inserts. Since I purchased the first pair of inserts, I also purchased a new pair of CCM Jetspeeds. I bought another set and put them in before my first skate on the CCMs. The Jetspeeds, once baked, are about the best fitting skate I've ever owned, and I think they are just as effective in the brand new skates. Great product!!UPDATE: Dumped the Grafs for a new pair of CCM light speed skates. These are arguably some of the best skates currently available so I wasn't sure the fit could be improved upon. I put another pair of inserts into the new skates and was more impressed than the affect they had on my old worn out Grafs. They created the same satifying fit; snug without creating numbing pressure over the top of the toes enhancing full contact with the interior of the boot regardless of your movement. I highly recommend them.

Pain Free
I’ve been skating for almost 40 years and have seen every gimmick there is (even tried a bunch). Recently I purchased a 1/2 size larger skate than normal due to lack of inventory and curiosity of roomier skates. The first time I wore them I thought I made a huge mistake. I was in such pain, primarily shin pain. I’ve experienced mild shin pain in my playing days before but nothing like this. After a short time on the computer doing research I came across these and instantly thought they were a gimmick. I was out of options so I gave them a shot and boy do I wish I’d have known about these sooner! The second I stepped on the ice I could feel a difference. I ended up using the foam pad with the shim figuring they’d slim down after a few uses. These are so amazing for my needs. I had an absolutely pain free skate as my toes weren’t moving all around in my skate. It also felt like I had so much more control! I will never skate without these again.
