Not for meThis is a Fashion Manifesto not a manual or a patent application, artistic licences are allowedIn reality only 6 of the photos are blurred and of the many b&w pictures less than a third of them are of colored garments, meaning they're actually either black or ivory (see pics for 2 of those 6 blurry photos and 2 of the b&w photos of 1 b&w ensemble and the detail of an ivory dress.The text is great, and in a world where you can almost pick up 3 or 4 random books of the many written about Gabrielle and read pretty much the same with a few changes in wording I do feel like I've learnt some things from this.Also it is gorgeous, larger than I expected and was like a 70% off when I bought it (although the type of binding does demand for it to be stored horizontally) but again, I love it! A perfectly good book destroyed by photographer and art director. In this day and age, and at this price point, there is no excuse for not using color photography. About one third of the photos are in black and white. The most delicious example is a tiny blowup shot for a dress detail on one page, and next to it is the full garment in black and white. Then the art director indulges the photographer by blurring the photo to give it a sense of movement. Hint to all involved: it's not about you. It's about the clothes.I couldn't be bothered by reading the text.On the upside, most of the garments are in print for the first time.Returned.

Her clothes are wonderful no matter how poorly they are photographed. One wonders why the editors permitted this poor photography. Still, I am glad to have the book.
