Hurst 1630025 White 5-Speed Replacement Shifter Knob

Good as described

It worked fine. I modified it though. I bought this for my Muncie shift handle which has 5/16 threads on it, this Hurst shift ball has 3/8 threads on it. So what I did is tapped it out with the Heli coil tap for a 5/16 Heli coil. It tapped out easily, and installed the 5/16 Heli coil. I turned a 3/8 shift ball into a 5/16 shift ball. I took a chance and possibly could’ve damaged it. Now it threads on my Muncie shift handle I’m using on my TKX 5 speed transmission.

This fits my hand and makes shifting fun again, has the glass feel, Very nice shift on feeling of gears to ensure the shift is completed.

I was willing to pay the exorbitant price for this because it is in my vintage muscle car but if it was in a regular daily driver, I would have hit up the eBay for what ever they had laying around. Nice product, feels solid, and just like my old 4 speed shift lever ball in my 67 Comet (top loader) it should last as long as my car.

This is a Hurst 5-speed replacement shifter knob. It comes in Hurst factory packaging with jam nut. The threaded part is a metal insert with 3/8"-16 threads. It is high quality, with shifting pattern and Hurst name engraved on the side. The item arrived as described and was a direct replacement for my Hurst shifter application. It is not a universal fit knob. It requires the threads for the application be 3/8"-16 or if not, use of an adapter, which is not included. If you are purchasing this for a different application, then it will not fit. If you are thinking about purchasing this knob and do not know the thread size of your application, then I suggest purchasing a thread pitch gauge and calipers before purchasing this knob.

This knob is supposed to be a 5” ball. It’s TINY. Feels so dainty. I won’t be using it.

I installed this on a knock off shifter similar to a Hurst for a 66 Mustang with T5 transmission. This shifter knob was the perfect touch. It’s just off-white, like a parchment color. The font for the lettering is perfect and the shift pattern is well scaled and proportioned.

Classic design and look! Look great but unfortunatly it didn't fit my shifter!
