No, it is better use for like beading/wire jewelry projects or jewelry display in general.

I need jewelry trays that I can easily mount items with stick pins. Is the interior soft enough and deep enough for pins?

The lining of the jewelry tray is very thin, no more than 1/16th of an inch. You can probably stick a pin in it, but because it is not very thick. I think the weight of the jewelry will weigh down the pin.
