LeapFrogChat and Count Smart Phone, Scout, Green

I bought this for my 6 month old little boy who has a Scout puppy and thought it would also work well with him trying to steal my mobile phone! AS an object to hold the phone is fine but I was so disappointed when I got this out of the box as the volume was really quiet. It seemed so much louder in the box?! Why this is I have no idea but apparently it is a known problem. Scout himself has a really good volume but this product is let down by how quiet it is.

I had my hopes set on a toy similar to the other phone type models, however, this toy is very quiet and the functions are limited (perhaps just this brand/model). It still serves a 20month old well, but he does prefer his old toy phone much better.... But for £8, it's hard to argue that it's not value for money considering how many times it has been dropped and bounced back. You decide.

Purchased for my then 6 month old to take on holiday, due to it's compact size. He loved it then, and still plays with it regularly at 10 months. My 2 1/2 year old nephew also loves it, and it has definitely helped him with his counting.Some reviewers have complained that its not loud enough - its plenty loud enough for the child to hear clearly, and so what if I can't hear it from across the room! In fact, I'm glad I can't!Fab little toy, worth every penny. Highly recommended.

My two-year-old LOVES this toy. It holds her attention well, has lots of different sounds and phone buttons for her to press and she likes talking about the pictures appearing on the screen. She has had this phone for a week so I can’t comment on how robust it is (it feels sturdy, but I don’t know about the electronics yet obviously). The batteries appear to be changeable. I read other reviews saying that the phone was really quiet - we have not had this issue, the phone is very audible from across the room.

My 3yr old son loves this. Scout calls him up and says different phrases there's songs and counting. It's a good toy.
