Perfect! I've been in the printing industry for 17 years and for the longest time had an old chart someone gave me. It was nice to see the updated version with good clean colors. One thing I truly like since they are not numeric there is a index chart in the back with the numbers and the page. I never had the index on my old one and sometimes if the pms numbers were not in order it was always hard to find the number. But with this index chart is is so easy. There was a comment the card stock was not a nice as the past and that is true the card stock is thinner but still workable. I am glad I broke down and bought a new one! I added the pic of the coated chart, the uncoated is seperate and comes with the coated

A must have for graphic designers.Just a note. Don't for get to download the Pantone Color manager so that you can export your new books/swatches to Adobe products or the like. There are instructions in the books on how to download the color manager. To export, update all books in the manager then go to file and export to your software. I thought Pantone would update with Adobe swatches automatically but they do not. You have to add the books manually. This was kinda a pain and a bit confusing so I thought I'd let others who are purchasing know.

The product is as indicated. It arrived on time without defect. Pantone is definitely getting cheap with their products. The paper it is printed on is not up to par with the books of just a few years ago. Also it can be hard to color match the bottom swatch in a light booth due to its vicinity to the book hinge.

Essential design resources for any graphic designer looking to enhance and perfect their work. Look to other reviews as to why you absolutely must have these types of tools, they do a better job explaining that. These products do great jobs of condensing the tools into manageable resources for the casual designer/beginner/on the go designer, etc. They're meant to be more quick tools when you don't have the whole spectrum at your fingertips.

A must-have for any graphic designer who uses PMS to communicate with vendors/manufacturers or clients.....I had an old book given free to me from 2008 that didn't match my screen....finally, when upgrading to this new book and the Creative Cloud, I was immediately about to see almost the same color on my screen as in the book....

I loved these when i first got them and have been using them non-stop. As a designer you need these! The brad that holds the swatch book together came apart and it's only been a month. My swatch book went EVERYWHERE! I had to spend a long time putting it back in order and tried putting the brad back but it wont snap into place and continues to break. Now i have to carry it around in a plastic bag! real professional right?

Flimsy paper...not sure how these would hold up in a print shop. It's really hard to turn the pages without them getting held up & creased...especially since you have to use the index to find the numbers & flip back & forth. I read reviews about the numerical order being eliminated with the addition of an index. I thought maybe it wouldn't be that bad, but imagine taking a minute to find a PMS number as opposed to the seconds it used to take. But hey, the book still serves its purpose.

Arrived perfectly in great condition. Very helpful for picking out colors for graphic design projects.

Exactly what you would expect from Pantone. Comes in a nice box to keep them clean and stop fading in daylight - also has just enough space in it to fit the metallic guide I ordered at the same time :-)
