Great Entertainment and Easy to Read
I have had a copy of this book for many years and as a fly fishing guide has given me simple tips that I've been able to easily translate into real world suggestions to my clients. I have a number of clients that are "regulars" and for different reasons I saw an opportunity to share this fun little book of short stories with a few of them. All have dropped me notes with thanks and told me a quip or two of what they have read ...

A great little red book!
Accurate, brief and very interesting information bits - eat them like potato chips while enjoying a drink. You'll fish better by taking these tips.

Nice book that supplies many tips
This book provides many needed tips to help in fly fishing. The tips are provided in mostly small snippets that are easy to understand and picture in oneβs mind. This book was definitely worth my time and money.

The Little Red Book of Fly Fishing (Little Books)
Book arrived damaged. Appears something very heavy was placed on top of front cover and was damaged, bent and creased. Literature wise it's excellent.

Very comprehensive. BUT...if you give this to somebody who has never fly fished, have them read it and then take them to some water and show, in person, how to use the book. Fly Fishing isn't all that complicated. People make it more complicated than it is. The book is a great introduction and some personal tutoring would round it out.

Not your usual type of book.
This is a strange book to review due to the style it is in. Written by two American authors who clearly know their stuff but it's in the form of short "quotes" for want of a better word, one is obviously more of a technical writer and the other more story based. I can only give three stars as I was expecting more, compare it to the different styles of UK magazines Trout and Salmon and the late Trout Fisherman.

Brilliant book for river Fly Fishing.
This book will suit river fly fishers of all experiences, especially anyone who has not got anyone to guide them. (like myself). The tips start with how to hold the rod, through where to find fish in the river, techniques, to flies. Although this is based onAmerican river fishing, most of it will apply on our rivers. With 250 tips, there is much to absorb for the novice, but you soonpick out what you want to use out of it. I used sticky Post - its on the pages I wanted, and jotted down the tip Number for easyreference
