Brilliant alternative to a cone
My dog went for the snip and I bought this ready for afterwards. We have previously used the vet cone of shame, but as my dog would be wearing it for a few days, I wanted something kinder. Cones are effective but we have found the dog has trouble eating comfortably, chewing toys, and often catches it on door frames which makes him upset. The doughnut was easy to inflate and looked very cute! Use the size guide to make sure it fits well, so the dog can’t reach the operation site to lick. The doughnut is brilliant for this sort of operation, but might not work as well for stopping reaching other places on the body.We re-inflated the ring the next morning, but after that it stayed up and was very effective. Our dog didn’t mind it at all, and didn’t once complain! It is obviously comfortable and doesn’t restrict playing/eating/drinking, etc.He looked very sweet on walks and we had lots of funny comments! It is now stored away in case we need a cone again, in its cute sprinkles box!Beware! Our dog snored at night with this on - probably because he used it as a chin pillow! It didn’t seem to bother him though.

Best for comfort, even better for style
Why oh Why have i been using stupid cone head all these years!? My baby can sleep, eat and even play in his donut, its fricken incredible. Its so cute and stylish, that people who normally run from my 60kg rottweiler like he is Godzilla actually came courtin!I think he might wear it even when healed he got so much positive attention for once. Its real great quality and feel too. Oh and the set up is so easy, I couldn't figure something out and their customer service was so helpful and quick to respond. SIMPLY THE BEST for your BEST boys/girls

Sadly not the answer for a lurcher
Lovely product but sadly our lurcher could still reach the stitches on his tummy. Great cushion and much more comfy than the cone.Guess just not great for his breed.

Way better than a suit or cone!
My 1yr old lab had a partial castration (removing an undescended testicle) and was sent home from vets in a romper as I knew he'd get a cone off. He was SO SAD in the romper and also it didn't actually offer that much defence against his mouth n the wound. Step in the donut! He wears it willingly, looks super cute and Homer Simpson approved and can't get to his stitches. Also he LOVES it acting as a neck pillow! Have recommended to friends already

Better for the dog, better for us!
Our dog was over grooming her tail, and as she's a golden retriever the plastic cones are awful. She's very affectionate, and the whole household ends up with bruised legs from the hard edges! This is so much better! The cover is soft but strong, and the design is brilliant. It was super easy to fit, it goes on her everyday collar with no problems. We did have to give it a bit more air every day, as it started to deflate and she could reach around it, but it was easy enough to do. She seemed happy enough to sleep in it, though we should have taken the warnings seriously as it does make her snore. Loudly. A lot.The cover is simple to remove for washing, it just goes in with the regular laundry. The inner is very sturdy, there were no holes so I assume the very slow leak was due to the seams. Very easy to fill, and easy to top up. The dog seemed content enough to wear it, and very happy with all the attention she was getting greeting people at the front door with her special donut! Well worth the cost, we've packed it away until next time!

Comfortable alternative to cone of shame, not totally effective.
The inflatable doughnut collar arrived in a cute matching box and contained a repair patch. I immediately needed to purchase an inflator pump, I could not inflate this using lung power. This was most effective when fully inflated, the dog was happy to wear it 24/7. I found out it had slightly deflated the next morning one time, it wasn't obvious but it wasn't stopping the dog from licking anything. It needed a little more air, and I had to remove it from the dog to do that because she's terrified of things that make noises. Then she could scratch, lick and bite freely until it was back on.As she got used to it she was still able to reach and lick or chew her back end and feet, but not as much as without it on.I think if she had an abdominal injury or surgery it would be fine and she wouldn't be able to lick that.I removed and washed the cover after an ear infection when it got very smelly. The cover washed fine. The doughnut did stop her from scratching her ear.The doughnut deflates again for storage back in its box.

Perfect
So much better than a plastic cone, my dog has just had cruciate ligament surgery and this does the job perfectly, great value and easy to fit, highly recommend.

Comfortable for the dog but not effective
Tried on both our German shepherd dogs as the rigid cones are so bulky and awkward, however it did not prevent either of them from licking the areas we were trying to keep safe!! One could easily reach their back paw and lick the wound and stitches. The other managed to still lick her anal area and prevent large ulcer from healing + swallowed the antiviral/antibiotic cream off which caused vomiting and a further £200 in vet’s bills as we had to start treatment again. Basically the large bulky rigid cones work and do the intended job. These really don’t in my experience

Works and is comfortable for our Lily
Our little pitty had surgery and we hate the cone because our legs get scratched up. This was fantastic and everyone loves it

Great lil donut
I don't know why there aren't more purchases from Canada, it's absolutely adorable and works very well. Its the first year of my dog showing allergy symptoms and my dog really hate those plastic cones (so do I) so I bought a medium size donut after being recommended it by someone else who loved it. I tried a fabric cone first but man are those heavy...Donut arrived in 4 days (was supposed to be 3 days but Amazon somehow sent it to a close but different city ?_? ) in a cute little sprinkles printed box. It was neatly folded and wasn't too tiring blowing it up. Its comfy, lightweight, and my dog cant chew on his paws 😆. If your dog has a long face they certainly could get to their front paws but my dog's head length is 7 inches/17.7cm and he can't chew on his. Sure he wasn't amused with it but that's the case with anything I put on him. He adjusted fairly quick.I noticed theres a little more information on the US amazon so if anyone in Canada wants to check it out a lil more just switch your app to US and go take a lookie 👀I also didn't expect it to come with a little sheet of sticker(?) to seal up holes in case the inflatable thingy inside ends up with one.
