ICE!
Installed (had to use the old screws etc) quickly. A lot easier than uninstalling, honestly. No instructions, but thankfully I remembered and labeled the old screws. Within a couple hours we had ice! The next morning, a full bin! Hooray! I think it pumps out more ice than my last one did, honestly. (A replacement by a appliance repair guy).I have a Kenmore 106.55526400

Junk! Didn't work. Don't buy.
This was junk. Not a replacement for W10190960 as advertised. This is the first ice maker I have seen without any testing ports. You should be able to test each funtion of the ice maker by jumping out the ports for water inlet valve, thermostat etc. This ice maker does not have that option. See 2 pictures, one legit icemaker with test ports then this POS. Does not fit my Kenmore Elite side by side.Don't buy!

Did not work
Was not producing ice after installed. Had to buy another one, get someone to come remove and install the new one which worked.

Cheap made and front cover for ice to slide down broke within first month.
Ordered to replace ice maker that cubes would hang and not fall in bucket. Installed this one and in less than a week is worse than the one replaced. My advice do not buy you will be sorry.

effective replacement part
Purchased this to replace a non-functioning ice maker on a Kenmore elite model 106.5896xxx refrigerator which was 14 years in service. I was surprised by how much the original ice maker had deteriorated, ultimately becoming non-functional. This product is designed to fit several more refrigerator models than just the one I replaced. The product has a wire cut-off device that was not used in the particular model refrigerator I repaired. I simply removed this component leaving it in the "on" position. The quick-connect wiring requires an intermediate wiring device which is included. The replacement process is technically fairly simple and this product is functioning very well.
