After reading this book many years ago I was glad to see it in digital form. This book brings a new perspective on about the workings of the Roman government at the time of Jesus.It also takes the reader to a new appreciation of the life of Jesus.Whether the books content is to be taken at face value for its content and authenticity remains, entirely with the reader.It is well written and prompts the reader to question and to think rather than blindly go about the life of faith.

A “must read” for anyone who researches Christianity or ancient Mediterranean history. For most, only the back half is relevant. The first half is the history of the research that went into this work, though impressive by itself. Read why we “know” doubtful events are true.

I first heard of this book when it was being offered by a minister on t.v. through his ministry. But they were sold out and it would have to be back ordered. I found it here at Amazon and they had it in stock. This is a very special book and anyone who loves The Bible or loves Jesus will find it very inspirational. It will confirm your faith and uplift your spirit. It's written more like a newspaper article but between the lines you can discern the intent of the gentleman who patiently worked at obtaining the information in it.

This book provides excellent insight into the birth and death of Jesus Christ from the historical documents of Pontus Pilate, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and many others. It is not a replacement to the Bible, nor does it add to the Biblical accounts.

This is an outstanding book that gives you confirmation of the life of Jesus. During the time of Jesus it was a law that all incidences had to be recorded, thus confirming what our bible teaches us. Also, very important, you gain the Jewish and Roman perspective of the events of Jesus time. Highly recommended. After reading it can be used as a resource book too.

Posing as the truth, this is total fictional rubbish. It's amazing what people believe when they haven't read the Bible or done proper research. It's quite incredible the lengths the author goes to in attempting to prove his stories. He was actually 'struck off' by his church for blasphemy.
