Perform Mind-Blowing Science Experiments at Home! You’ll have the time of your life conducting these incredible, wacky and fun experiments with your parents, teachers, babysitters and other adults. You’ll investigate, answer your questions and expand your knowledge using everyday household items. The Quirky Mommas from the wildly popular Kids Activities Blog and authors of the bestselling 101 Kids Activities That Are the Bestest, Funnest Ever! have done it again with this book of ridiculously amazing, simple science experiments. You can do things both indoors and outdoors. The handy mess meter, preparation times and notes on the level of supervision will keep your parents happy, and you safe. Experimenting is really fun, and you will have a blast being a scientist! You will be so entertained, you might not notice you’re also learning important things about the world around you. Some experiments to master: - Balloon-Powered Car - Burst Soap Clou - CD Hovercraft - Creeping Ink - Bendy Bones - Electromagnet - Paper Helicopters - Unbreakable Bubbles Now put on your lab coat and let’s get experimenting! Review: LOVE Science! - I am a homeschooling mom to 3 young children who still need a majority of their math & language arts lesson taught to them individually. This book has easily helped me to introduce a love and facination with science to my children without being overly complicated or too difficult to carry out (a huge plus when working with younger children). Each experiment lists simple to follow intructions, ingredience, tips, estimated time frames, the level of ease and even how messy it is! Plus, the scientific concepts are explained in a very kid honoring way! My children get it! Many items used in the experiments can already be found around the house or picked up from a local dollar store. I would recommend reading through the experiments to familiarize yourself with common ingredients so that you can make sure that you have the staple ingredience and/or household items on hand and then prepare to pick up others as you go, noting which items could be saved and used again for future experiments. My children LOVE doing these experiments and are so excited to tell their friends about them! They want to do them over and over again. Their ages 6, 4 and a 4 month old baby. :-) Review: A great collection of STEM activities for a child (age 8 - 12) or for a parent/teacher to use with younger kids - I really appreciate the consistent format and clarity of activity descriptions – each contains a “mess meter”, level of supervision required, predicted times for prep and experiment, concise and easy-to-follow instructions, description of outcome, and an explanation of the science. The graphic design is appealing. The tone of the book would get adults and kids excited about working on science together. Includes many activities that aren’t standard fare found in all the other books. Most activities have great overview photos, instructional photos detailing the steps of the experiments, and/or helpful diagrams, but some are completely lacking illustration and that can make those experiments harder to figure out. Overall, an excellent resource.

We have bought this for my 4 year old daughter and a friend as well. They both love it. The experiments range in skill level from them being able to do it and simple concepts to needing adult assistance and concepts that are above their head. There are fun experiments. It is organized well. The list of supplies is listed and the instructions are easy to follow. The kids gravitate more to the experiments with pictures.

Kids LOVE this!!!
This book is awesome! My children are 9 and 11. They are completely plugged-in - having many various electronic devices, games, apps, robotic toys, drones, etc, etc, etc. But this book is their favorite thing to do! It is always on our kitchen table with some sort of baking soda, vinegar mess somewhere nearby. When friends come over - it is this book that comes out to be showed off and played with. As a parent, I'm very impressed with these experiments. Many are simple - yet fascinating to children. Many are messy - so be tolerant. Kids love messy! Buy this!

Some silly fun with kids!
We bought this book for a weekend vacation with our nieces (5 and 6 years old). Just about everything needed for the experiments could be bought in their small town grocery store. We tried about 10 experiments over a couple of days and the kids loved it. The messier experiments were done outside (like the soda foam explosion) and were probably the most popular. But they also loved showing off the lava lamp experiment too.

Get this!
Perfect for home or school. 5 yr old loves it so much sometimes it’s a bed time story book! Great balance of pictures and text. Easy experiments with results. Highly recommend. Great babysitter or grandparent activity. Most experiments call for household items. Added bonus: Cover glows in the dark

Very neat book
I bought this book a few months ago, and love the different types of experiments! My daughter is young so we haven’t done very many but have loved what we’ve done. My only complaint is the binding…we’ve only used it a few times and several of the pages are already falling out at the spine. Almost like it wasn’t binded well, if that makes sense. Just curious if that’s happened to anyone else or if I got a defective book? Thanks.

Try the experiments as they will open your mind!
Definitely both kids found it interesting and challenging for the kids (8 to 12). They bring their friends over to do at least four to six experiments a week. They are also find the experiments to easy to challenging!
