BOGEN COMMUNICATIONS CSD2X2 2'X2' DROP-IN CEILING SPEAKER WITH BACK CAN (PAIR)

I was redoing the sound system at work in the dining room. These speakers were what I needed. Learned about 70-volt speakers and how to in stall them on line. They sound great but the real test will be the Christmas party when we have to speak above the sound of the crowd.

These are no good for music! I see other reviews that suggest the work for intercom but I couldn't imagine them being loud enough for that. I installed them in my lobby and halls to create background noise with music. They absolutely do not work for this application.

Do not buy anything from AZDeals. These people are total crooks. They sold me these defective speakers and refused to provide any exchange/refund claiming that I must work it out directly with the manufacturer of the speakers. This is a very bad seller and they refused to even speak with me on the telephone about this despite my repeated requests to try and work something out.BUYER BEWARE WITH AZDEALS

This speaker set works fine for a basic PA sound/reinforcement system. We buy them to fit in the classrooms at a college where they are used for music and videos and for that they are borderline horrid. You will have to set up an EQ to cut all frequencies under 140hz because the metal will rattle. If you're only using them for voice then they are OK (especially for the price). I wouldn't recommend using them in any scenario where music is intended to be played regularly.NOTE: I have personally installed at least a hundred pairs of these over the last several years. Including 1x2, 2x2, 70v and 8ohm, also the newer ones with volume control.

nice sound worked great easy to install

Very easy to install and the knob to adjust the wattage is great. Above average sound and solid construction.
