ONE Uncleaned & Unsearched Ancient Roman Coin

I ordered two coins and received two orders of 3 coins each, which was a very nice surprise. Shipping was very prompt. The coins themselves were, however very very small, so my eyes need a magnifying glass to spot any detail, if any. In addition, after cleaning properly (just soaked in distilled water) the coins themselves are very very worn. Maybe one out of the six had enough detail left to see a a vague image, but the others are so worn they are essentially flat disks of metal. In the end one a little larger coin with some detail probably would have been nicer than so many tiny worn coins. I know it's the nature of the beast and you can't always tell how worn they are with crud on them. But I have a total Latin nerd 12 year old who was so excited to receive the coins and then alas disappointed at their yield.Also would have been nice to have had a brief note in the package regarding what region of Europe or Central Asia or North Africa the coins were found in.

I ordered three coins and they were a day late. We received eleven coins the next day! Not sure if it was on purpose but we very much enjoyed the coins. To date what we have positively identified are one Constantine the Great (commemorative) (AD 342), one beautiful copper Constans (348-350) and a very nice bronze Constanius Gallus (350-351). One more we are still cleaning but it might just be another Constantine. My daughter is having a great time! I do not normally post reviews but this is a good seller.

You better buy a coin that you can see and check first .. pic is not the same of what you get .. it’s in very poor quality and they are just a piece with nothing on it other that the yellow muddy stuff or what ever it is .. I would recommend to go to coin store and buy from there even if it’s but more expensive as those coins are a waste of time .. cheers

I received three coins in a little baggie... they were as stated unclean and unsearched. But it's the quality that struck me, I have not even put any water or brush to them, you see letters, a bust and details. Sure not clear yet because they are not yet cleaned but you run your fingers over them and they feel detailed. Not like many I have gotten "uncleaned and unsearched" that were smooth as a babies bottom. If you like ancient coins and to discover which you got.... no better place than here.

Overpriced!

I have bought these three times now from here. eBay is a much better option as you can get more coins for cheaper, however, I am impatient and have ordered these when I wanted something same/next day to clean. If this allows I will add some photos of a few cleaned coins from here.

It's a good coin; however, I think you can do better for less money. I'd recommend doing more searching. You might want to consider a bag of uncleaned coins.
