The magnet is really strong and works really well in my truck. The two issues I have is it is skinny and can only hold smaller firearms (compact/subcompact). Second since my truck is a lease I used the provided adhesive strips, they lasted about 2 days and I had to purchase stronger adhesive strips.

Definitely don't see this thing holding 40 + lbs cause it barely holds mp shield with mag in it. Overall it appears to be made of good quality. Time will tell how it holds up with consistent use.

This gun magnet does exactly what it states ,has no problem holding onto my 9mm in my vehicle over bumps and touch terrain without ever causing my gun to come loose and fall to the floorboard ,very impressive with the durability and overall strength of the magnetism.

Have it on a shield plus, magnet is great and easy install. Serves its purpose.

Does fit but the gun is a little heavy 😂. Works as it should will buy again!

When I first read about this device, images of cowboys fighting at a poker table while the watchful dealer's hand rests on a single action six-shooter mounted under the table came to mind.Impressions:The magnet holds the firearm vertically from the top of the slide, positioning your hand perfectly on the grip.If you prefer to keep an empty chamber but want the gun quickly at the ready, pushing the grip forward will engage the front of the slide with two small lips on the magnet, chambering a round. Just be sure not to short-stroke the gun.The magnet mounts to the bottom of a desk or dashboard with the provided screws. A piece of adhesive will hold the magnet in place while the magnet is being screwed in.IMPORTANT: There is no safety catch or lock on the magnet. Anyone can take your firearm.Although the magnet has a soft-ish plastic coating, after cocking the mounted gun several times I noticed a small white mark that easily wiped off on the front top of the slide.Some important things to keep in mind:1) The magnet does not have a lock or safety to prevent anyone from removing or firing your gun.2) Please do NOT leave your firearm in the magnet if you have children. Although the magnet is strong, it will not prevent a child from unmounting your gun.3) Don't forget your firearm is in the magnet when you leave so it doesn't inadvertently fall into the wrong hands.3) The magnet is STRONG. Be careful not to pinch your fingers between the the firearm and the magnet.4) Did I mention the magnet is strong? Be careful placing credit cards or other magnetic sensitive devices near the magnet or they may get damaged. Don't ask me how I know....

I am very happy with this purchase Light weight but super strong magnet holds the gun very well.

Is ashamed we have to stay armed in a society as great as America but it is what it is.Installed in my ZR2 proved very effective keeping my hand gun attached in very rough terrain.Mounted just right of steering wheel under dash in arms reach yet not noticeable in general.Great addition to making my weapon easily reachable
