I purchased because of the importance of monitoring my blood pressure. It was so easy to setup and use right away.

Took a while to figure out the cuff, the directions aren't very clear. Once we got that figured out, it worked good.

She has been carefully monitoring her blood pressure with another monitor and I ordered this monitor for her to use as a backup. I was most interested to see if this new monitor gave her readings similar to the expensive and highly rated monitor she is currently using and the answer is YES. The readings on the SmileCare monitor were very close to the high end monitor which she tested at the doctor’s office.Most readers of this review know that keeping our blood pressure within limits suggested by our doctor is important for our health and well-being. We don’t go to the doctor’s office frequently enough to monitor our blood pressure and often, especially if we are anxious, we may get an abnormally high reading in the office. Having an accurate monitor at home is a wise investment in my opinion, but the key word is accurate. Checking the home monitor against the monitor a doctor uses in the office is a smart thing to do.Bottom line: The SmileCare monitor is easy to use and appears to be accurate. Recommended.

I like this blood pressure monitor and believe it provides accurate readings. I have another blood pressure monitor that is smaller than this one, and I don’t think that one is as accurate and as “medically designed” as this one.It’s not a hard device to use, though I did need some assistance on how to put it on from my wife, who’s used blood pressure monitors like this before through her job. One feature I like about this product is that you can plug it in. I haven’t powered it with batteries and probably won’t.Some of the great features of this item include being able to see past blood pressure readings and the clearly lit LCD screen that is plenty large enough to read. I also noticed this device can detect irregular heartbeats, which is good if not a bit nerve wracking!It’s hard to know if items like this provide the same accuracy as the blood pressure readings you get at the doctor, but my guess is that they’re being made better every day and aren’t too far off the mark.

This smile care blood pressure machine is a good one to have at home. It is easy to use and simple to read. It’s very accurate as I’m a MA and check mine quite often and compared it to the one I have at work. It fits on your arm nicely and has instructions on how to use it and where to place the cuff in line with your arm. The screen has a backlight which is nice and the readings are clear and large. You just need batteries for this making it portable.
