Light Weight
This product works ok, but I would recommend it for a lighter weight scope. My scope is a Vortex, Viper 60x20x85 and it is just to heavy for this light of mount.

Vortex makes great products
I have purchased a number of Vortex products over the years and have always found them to be of great quality. This window mount is no different. It is pretty straight forward, easy to use, and not over-engineered. I would buy it again if I ever needed to.

Wobbly
Easy to use but there is play in the mechanism that causes it to wobble when tilting up or down. Do not recommend. Also

Quick plate does not work with the Vortex Pro-GT tripod.
We bought this window mount so we could transition from our vortex-gt tripod to the window mount however the window mount has a different quick release called the Arca-Swiss head mount. This is not a quick release between the vortex products. Very disappointed in Vortex’s incompatibility. As you can see in the picture the window mount has a different design for the quick release vs the square one that is for the Vortex tripod. Make sure before buying that the plate is the correct one.
