I bought this because our old cheese grater was falling apart. This sturdy metal design is durable and can hold up well over time. We had a plastic framed grater but it cracked from dishwasher cleaning degrading the plastic. As you can see it fits well into our miscellaneous kitchen drawer so its easy to store. At first we weren't sure if it was going perform as we wanted, but it has proven to be a cheeselovers dream from hard to soft cheeses it easy to clean compared to multi-sided graters. Definitely a good purchase for our family and our cheese adventures!

Honestly the best grater of this style I have ever purchased. The moment I removed it from the box I was struck by the quality. My first thought was, wow, this is really nice! Usually this type of grater is very light weight and not built to last. I have to say when I purchase Amazon branded products this is usually the case--they tend to be made to a higher standard than one might expect for the price. I think Amazon Basics are under appreciated and I for one am going to purchase them more often when given the option. I mean, when is the last time you became genuinely excited over a mere grater? That takes some thought and effort on the part of the merchandiser and manufacturer. This will also replace my pathetic zesters, none of which work well if at all. I used this for soft cheese, romano, and orange zest yesterday and it takes up no room at all.

I have a set of the old school Wonder Graters and they are fun to use but I wanted something easier and quicker to clean and this grater hit all the buttons. It is strong and solid, great for grated parmesan, mozzarella for pizza and slicing Swiss or cheddar for sandwiches. Total winner design. A must to make your life easier.
