Initially, I purchased the burgundy-coloured apron, and was immediately impressed by the design, construction, and durability. The fabric, however, was somewhat light in weight, and as I wished a second one, I bought the blue DENIM version, which is significantly more robust in nature. I decided to give the burgundy apron to my wife, and ordered a third in black DENIM. We are, at present, (2020) in basic self-isolation, and spend many hours in the kitchen. These aprons are our constant companions, and indeed, along with my chef shoes, I would feel naked if I wasn't wearing one. I have nothing negative to say about these superlative Hudson aprons and their features. Unlike many, the straps go OVER the shoulders, greatly reducing strain, a major bonus if one is continually cooking or washing dishes. Instead of being just a frontal protecting shield, they extend, reasonably, around the sides of the body, and fit much like a favourite shirt. Two things: 1) We never put them in the dryer....and let them air-dry. 2) If storing on a hook or peg on the wall, I always face the front/outside against the wall, and then hook the inside hang-loop on the peg. That way, (in theory) the apron straps are positioned to go when you wish to wear it again. A high-quality item that has made a major impact on my many hours in the kitchen!

Disclaimer: only had the apron for a couple days and havent washed it yet, so durability and longevity arent much of a factor in this review. So to start, holy crap is this apron comfortable to wear. I'm a chef and wore this apron for 3 12 hour shifts at a very busy restaurant and not once did I find myself being irritated by this apron. This is a first, as every apron I've ever worn has bothered me at some point throughout the day or some reason or another. Key benefits: BREATHABLE; I got the black denim Easy to take on and off: Easiest cross back I've worn to put on and take off, much appreciated Pockets: Lots of them that are in nicely thought out locations Towel loop: didnt think id use it since I usuaully keep one hanging out of a front pocket for hand wiping but it turned out to be great, never had a towel fall out with lots of running around. Chest width: Wide enough as to not irritate the nips, a complaint I have about my other 3 aprons Length: I think 34" is perfect for me, my others are 31" and just feel kinda short, but thats all preference and will change depending on your height. This hits me right at the knees at 5' 11" CONS: I wish the straps fully came off for washing purposes as I foresee them getting tangled in my washer, but time will tell. I wish the straps were shorter, as they dangle off of me quite a bit after I snap the buckle, but I understand that is for greater adjustability and will fit larger people so not really a con. TLDR: Get it, its an AMAZING apron with very little to complain about

The side pockets are excellent for things like work gloves. Very functional and well made. I only wish the breast pocket had a divider for a pen/pencil and could hold a phone securely.

I love these aprons! I wear one all day at work with the pockets full of heavy things and it never hurts my neck like a traditional over the neck apron would. Good length, I’m 5’11 and it hits just above my knee. Very durable, they make it a sold year of use at work 5 days a week. The fabric does tend to wear in the spots that rub constantly, like where my phone sits in the front pocket and the bottom of my pen. Great value for the money.
