No tangle and easily went down the stairs
6 year old grandson loved this. It went from top of stairs to the bottom

A bit on the pricey side for what it is and thought would last better
Slinky's are what they are, ordered a metal one thinking it would last better than plastic, however wasn't long before it got out of shape but children are rough

Superb slinky, just how I remember them....
A genuine slinky, just how they used to be.Be aware of modern staircase compatibility, the slinky may not have changed, but your staircase may have done! Super wide stair treads are not a slinkys best friend!

Prepare to be disappointed
Although I’d found a few options to choose from when researching a slinky for my 8yr old, I opted for this one because it claimed to be ‘just like the original’. I remember back in the mid 80s when you could play for hours getting a slinky to ‘walk’ down every stair in the house. It was terrific fun! This however is nothing like the original slinky. The gauge of the steel is too thick meaning there aren’t enough coils to give it the propulsion that’s needed. We struggled to get it to go down 2 steps, never mind 13!!In the eagerness to unwrap the gift, my son had torn the box to shreds, and this is the only reason we didn’t send it back for a refund.Very disappointing indeed.

Doesn't Slink!
Bought this for my grandson and it doesn't slink!.. Tried it on different stairs with standard tread depth but the best achieved is about 3 steps before it grinds to a halt. I don't think the spring is long enough. My granddaughter has this slinky and it works fine - Wow Stuff Science Museum Giant Springy

Ok but a bit dissapointing
Comparing with memories of the original (back in the 70's it seems to lack the ability to descent stairs.
