Nice quality model. Maybe not for beginners as there are a lot of small and fiddly parts.

this is a nicely made model kit. there are enough pieces to make it interesting and everything fits together well. the instruction manual will flip you out cause it is actually a book. and the painting instruction are great.

I started to try to assemble his abomination, and threw it in the garbage soon after. I'm much happier with my actual Jaguar XK8 that is sitting snugly in my garage for the winter.

Very poor model protection

I was so disappointed to see Revell cheapened up the kit and did not include the metal adhesive emblem that appeared in all the review videos for this kit. Just comes with a crappy water slide decal.

This isn't actually difficult to assemble because almost all of the parts fit together beautifully, but I'm not sure about that level 3 grading. TBH I have found it as hard to complete as some of the level 4 Revell kits I've made. The engine is incredibly detailed, as is the cabin (although sadly when it's done a lot of the details you slaved over are hidden from view)... which means a lot of work with very, very small pieces of plastic and tiny decals. Don't expect a result if you try and make this in a weekend with a tube of glue and a few pots of paints 'cos it won't happen. To do this one justice you'll need a lot more than that, including Revell Professional glue, several paints including red and orange clear, something like Contacta clear glue and a set of paintbrushes suitable for extremely fine work. And unless you have pin sharp eyesight you're going to need an illuminated magniying glass for sure. Having said all that if you take your time and spray (don't brush) paint the bodywork the end result is actually pretty stunning.
