Fun read
Love the stories and the recipes. From mixing white wine with lemonade or boiled eggs in a bag of salt n vinegar chips with Tabasco, to baking your own potato rolls or mums lasagna. Seriously simple to marathon Tortellini in brodo. Lots of tips and tricks, don’t take it to seriously, and have a picnic!

Not quite as it seems
Not quite what I thought it would be so a bit disappointedAlthough there are some nice ideas for picnic food at least half of the book is a dialogue about picnics which isn’t really what I expected

Tour de force
This extraordinary tour de force is moving, delicious and funny - just as the best sort of picnic should be.

Not what it seems
The book says it is sixteen fictional picnic stories with accompanying menus. So 80% nonsense 20% menus. Not my cup of tea. So please review the book carefully better than I did before parting with hard earned cash.
