Kittens are very happy
I recently tried the Blue Buffalo Freedom Grain-Free Kitten Wet Cat Food for my little one, and overall, I’ve been pretty happy with it. What drew me in first was the ingredient list—real chicken right at the top, no by-products, and no corn, wheat, or soy. That gave me some peace of mind that I was feeding my kitten something a little higher quality than many of the standard grocery-store brands. The texture is soft and easy for kittens to eat, and it has a mild smell compared to some other wet foods. My kitten dove right in the first time I opened a can, and she still gets excited every time I grab one from the pantry. I’ve noticed her coat looks shinier and softer since starting this food, and she has good energy levels, so I do think it’s making a difference in her health. That said, there are a couple of small drawbacks. The cans are on the smaller side (3 ounces), so for a growing kitten you may go through them quickly, especially if you’re not mixing with dry food. It’s also not the cheapest option out there. I’ve read some mixed things about thickeners like carrageenan being included, and while my kitten hasn’t had any stomach issues, it might be something to keep in mind if yours has a sensitive tummy. Overall: I’d give this food about 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a reliable, balanced choice that kittens seem to love, with good quality protein and added DHA for growth. It might not be perfect for every pet parent’s budget or for kittens with special sensitivities, but if you’re looking for a trustworthy grain-free wet food, this one is definitely worth considering.

Our kitten loves it, and we love that it has quality ingredients.
*This review is for the Kitten Indoor Chicken Grain-Free version We recently rescued a 4 week old kitten named Allie, who was found alone in the middle of the road. We really wanted to make sure she was being fed quality food, so she'd grow up healthy and strong. After lots of research, we learned that canned food is better than dry, since it's closer to their natural diet. We also learned that grain-free is best, since cats aren't really able to digest the grains that are commonly used in cat foods as cheap filler. Anything with meat by-products or low quality ingredients are also a no-go. We also wanted to get a kitten specific food, since kittens require more protein than adult cats. Several cat sites listed this particular kitten food as among the best, so we decided to order a case. Allie loves it. All we have to do is crack open a can and she'll drop whatever she's doing and come running. We've noticed her poops don't smell like they did when we first took her in and only had Friskies to feed her. They also look better -- they're never runny and she's never showed any signs of stomach distress. All around, I feel like this food lives up to the name that Blue Buffalo has made for itself. I know that by feeding her this food, she's getting quality ingredients with no unhealthy or cheap filler. Highly recommended.

' We like the quality of the food and that it is ...
One of our kittens loves this stuff, the other two are 'meh.' We like the quality of the food and that it is grain-free, would be nice to have another couple of flavors to help rotate to avoid burnout. Our cat who likes it has a lovely silky coat. The two that dislike it, but we feed the grain-free chicken dry food from the same manufacturer, have coarser coats. So we would have liked to have more options at the kitten level. That said, it is a good food, and if your kitten likes the flavor, you will have great results.

Make your kittens happy and healthy with this food!
This is great cat food (err, not speaking personally, but you know what I mean, the kitties seemed to love it). Our kittens devoured it, and grew healthy and strong. I love that it is reasonably priced for a premium brand, and very healthy for the cats, without a lot of junk added. Blue is establishing itself as a positive force in the medium-priced pet food market, with many options to choose from to match pet ages, and owner budgets. If you want to get your little kittens started out on the right path, you can't go wrong with this food.

Good at first, but...
My kitten really took to this food at first. It was a really great and healthy alternative to some other cheaper brands that had God knows what in them. After a while though - probably six months or so - I stared noticing that the food was being left in the bowl by morning. And she'd be crying for food, even though there was some left. At first, I just thought she had lost her taste for it, but then I saw there were bone chips in the food leftover. I tossed it and kept trying. Can after can, I had the same result. Never had the issue before, but the next three cases I bought had so much bone fragment! I cancelled my subscribe-and-save immediately and tossed the last of our cans. Switched to a different brand. Pretty disappointed in whatever happened with their quality control! Won't buy again.

Great Food & Odor Free Litterbox
My kittens love this food! And I like the fact that it is good for them (you can actually see carrots in it). But the absolute best part of this Blue Buffalo Freedom Indoor Kitten Grain Free Chicken food is that even having 2 cats, the litter box is essentially ODOR FREE! This fact alone is worth its weight in gold (and a 5 star review). It's awesome to have a food that my cats love, keeps them healthy, and makes their pottybox almost invisible!

Used for 8 months and kitten loves it.
My now eight month old kitten came into my life when she was about 3 weeks old. She is growing beautifully on Blue Freedom Indoor kitten food, she has a beautiful coat and tons of energy. She has tried other canned kitten foods but this one is by far her favorite. She is now up to 8 pounds and almost ready to start on adult cat food; I am sure we will stay with the Blue Freedom line of cat foods.
