Mark Wahlberg / Denzel Washington need I say more. Loved it!

Would most definitely watch it again

Two of my favorite actors.

When I saw 2 Guns back when it first came out, I didn't really feel all that great about it. Considering Denzel was in the film, I felt that it really lacked any sort of lasting moments or well-acted scenes. Now watching it again on Blu-ray I found myself enjoying it a lot more for what it was considering I had no expectations going into this time. Denzel Washington actually plays yet another great character in his repertoire and does it with style. Mark Wahlberg comes out of the gate like a bull and doesn't stop running his mouth throughout the entire film.What I realized this time is that this movie isn't going to be your next Training Day, and it was never intended to be. Watching the features and commentary really lift a light on the intent of this film, and that was to create a thrilling, yet fun old school "cop duo" movie. I hesitate to call it a buddy cop movie because while it was somewhat light-hearted, it's overall a pretty thrilling movie with a lot of action. Don't expect anything you haven't seen before from either of the lead actors, and you're bound to have a great time.Denzel Washington is one double agent of many in 2 Guns, and his cover persona is a 2 gold tooth having, old school fedora-wearing gangster. In the commentary, it was revealed that Denzel came up with the idea for the gold teeth on his 2 fang teeth so that he could differentiate the two sides of his character. Only a master-class actor on his level could do so much with a small prop like that and a hat, but he truly pulls it off. After the first scene that he reveals himself to be an agent, it's so interesting to see how much of his demeanor changes when he goes in and out of that cover.Mark Wahlberg also does the same but doesn't have to have the transition of Denzel's character. Also working for the military, he finds himself in the middle of a heist gone wrong with Denzel as an accomplice. As they work their way through all of their connections and hits, the law and worse are on their tail. Marky Mark does what he does best, and that's to play a brash but comedic gunman who can punk anyone despite his size or goofiness. I do feel that Wahlberg has one of the best moments in the film making a guy "his bitch" by assassinating 5 chickens that a gang of shooters can't seem to hit during a target practice session.The two play really well off of each other, despite from being two completely different schools of acting. I think it was a great meeting in the middle for these two and the film ultimately ends with a bang. Overall, it's a fun action flick that is worth the price of admission, especially if you're a fan of Denzel or Wahlberg. There is the director's commentary with one of the producers and one featurette that is a behind the scenes from the film.Case game in great condition. Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy included.

Was really pleased with this movie purchase. Great movie and acting.

Muy buena imagen y audio. El aspecto original (2.40:1) es respetado a diferencia de la versión ZIMA que lo alteraron, audio ingles en DTS-HD 5.1 más español DTS 5.1 que suena muy potentes aunque el primero le gana. Como un plus, viene con extras muy interesantes que complementan la experiencia de la película (el blu ray de ZIMA solo tiene la galeria de imágenes de la película y audios en Dolby Digital 5.1). Muy recomendada la versión de Universal para futuras compras.

Zumal ich das Wort Fliegenfi**er zum überhaupt ersten Mal hörte.Aber nur allein deswegen kann man natürlich keinen Film bewerten, grins.Doch nach alldem, was hier folgt, schon.2 GUNS verheißt Gutes- nämlich coole Sprüche mit Anspruch und eine gehörige Prise Action.Und es ist keine große Überraschung, dass ich diesem Denzel- Film eine fünfstellige Sternensumme überreiche.Denn für mich gibt es tatsächlich nur Drei Komponenten, nach denen ich Sir Washington- Actioner einordne:Zum Schreien humorig oder zum Zerreissen spannend. Oder beide Faktoren vereint. Langeweile hat da keine Chance.Gibt es bei diesem Top- Schauspieler der Sonderliga einfach nicht. So, das wäre geklärt.2 GUNS trumpft natürlich auch mit Mark Wahlberg auf, den ich eigentlich erst seit den " Ted "- Geschichten richtig kennenund mögen lernen durfte." Ich bitte Sie, Stig,....wollen Sie Spielchen spielen? " - " Welches schwebt Ihnen denn vor? " - " Wollen Sie sich nichterleichtern? " - " Gern. Muß ich das vor IHM machen? "2 GUNS- der Drogenfahnder und der Geheimagent, sie sind sich nicht grün, mögen sich nicht wirklich." Du weißt, dass ich dich echt mag, oder? " - " Ich mag dich auch. " - " Nein, tust du nicht. " - " Doch, tu` ich. " - " Nein.Keiner mag mich. Doch ich komm` damit klar. " - " Ich mag dich mehr als die Meisten. " - " Sagst du nur, weil ich mit ` ner Pistoleauf dich ziele....". Und diese Tatsache macht den Film unter vielen anderen Aspekten nochmal interessanter." Den überraschten Gesichtsausdruck müssen Sie noch üben. Un excellent moment à passer avec ce film d'action où les deux acteurs principaux font des étincelles !Un très bon "buddy-movie" réussi qui repose bien évidemment sur l'entente entre les deux protagonistes et l'association des deux stars fonctionne très bien, les réparties fusent et visiblement les deux acteurs s'amusent et nous régale.La qualité du bluray est la hauteur : Les couleurs sont dodues,les contrastes chauds bouillants et la définition en acier trempé. Une belle image, précise et charmeuse avec une lumière parfaite.Coté son le dts-hd 5.1 de bonne tenue fait des merveilles, ça fuse dans tous les sens.On en redemande !
