I actually purchased this for my girlfriend who saw that I bought a similar (same brand) product for my grandkids. She wanted to learn about physics and electronics, but not in a formal way. We construct the various “ experiments” much like we’re working together on a jigsaw puzzle. It’s great fun and educational as well. The kit is very well constructed and designed to make it easy to put each circuit together. Personally, I wish it had more in the way of scientific explanations for the functional components of integrated circuits. But, even so, it serves as a great introduction to how electronic circuits function, and after all, it’s main intent and purpose is for a curiously-minded child’s toy.

I bought this to go along with the Snap Circuits Light kit that I purchased for my 8 year-old grandson's birthday present. He loved them! The kits can be used together, which is why I purchased both. He likes the hand generator that comes with the Green Energy kit and uses it with the Light kit so that he can control the speed of the spinner in the Light kit. There is also a rechargeable battery in the Green Energy kit that will save $$ on battery use! The thing I love most about Snap circuits is that the kits can all be used together! The instruction booklets have easy to follow diagrams and the materials are pretty sturdy.

Son loves it - for us it's not about the green cult, lying propaganda - but rather gives him something healthy, constructive to do and learn how the technology works in general, and we do support it on a smaller scale. (We have lots of solar lights around the outside of our house)

Great addition to my son's snap circuits collection. He recommended minus one star due to the car part not functioning well.

The kit has easy to follow instructions, so he can create cool projects and learn about green energy. He made a solar-powered fan and saw how wind energy works. It's like a fun science playground for him, and I'm happy to see him excited about learning and building things. Great gift choice!

The Snap Circuits must be some of the best toys made for any aspiring electricians or electrical engineers. This was a second set for an 8 yr old and he has thoroughly enjoyed the projects and made a few of his own. Motor, generator, solar panel, lights, noise makers, etc. - lots of fun.

My Grandson Loves working with it. It is a simple and straight forward design for young children to learn about electricity. Very durable and should last for many years.

Looks good our Grandson age 10 birthday is in 4 weeks time so he will love it as he has the basic version so a step up

My grandson loves this and he's only just 6. He learns by playing with the numerous predefined circuits with fans and rechargeable battery. It's ideal for a little one that wants to learn by doing things and I will be adding to this as time goes on
