Smart Color Coded Tire Tread Depth Gauge

Very handy and easy to use. Someone who doesn't even have knowledge of tire depth can use this. Color coded makes it easy to understand. Very small, lightweight and can fit inside wheel well. No batteries needed.

I wasn't expecting much for the cost but it's a nice, functional little tool. Easy to use and nice to be able to quickly check my tires to know if they need to be replaced. It's nice and small, so I can keep it in the glove box. The outside is metal and the gauge inside is plastic so I'm not sure how long it'll last, but for $3 it's what you'd expect in terms of durability.

Nothing fancy but works as it should.

For the price this is a great tool if you ever really wonder where your tires are at. But if you need to do more than just kind of get somewhat close to accurate, this is not the tool you're looking for. The tick marks are hard to read, and unless I'm misunderstanding something, not even that accurate as each side of the "hex" stick that comes out with measurements seem to be off from one another by half a millimeter or so, resulting in ambiguity of around 1 or 2 32nds. Still, it's hard to complain for a few bucks, and it clearly shows the difference between "new", "good", "low but safe", and "omg you're going to die" tread depths. But it's not precise.

Cheap and easy to use. Makes it easy to monitor my tires and know when I need to replace them. Accuracy is spot on, and compact enough to keep in a vehicle.

Works as expected

I'm an older widow. My husband always took care of my tires. I realized, because it was now my job, that I needed to know when to replace them, so I ordered this gauge. IRonically, it arrived a few days before I needed to inflate my tires more because of the cold weather. I was told I needed new tires because of the little tread that was left. I double checked their diagnosis for each tire with this tire tread gauge. I was able to verify what they told me.
