The "official" dimension of copper pipe with an OUTSIDE diameter of 5/8" is 1/2" CTS, where CTS stands for "Copper Tubing Size", and actually refers to the nominal INSIDE diameter of the pipe. So, this means that you will need to use the 1/2" deburring tool, and the 1/2" disconnect clip for your pipe. (The 3/4" tool and clip are for use with 3/4" CTS pipe, which has an outside diameter of 7/8".) Good luck. Carl

Simple Anser NO. Not for PVC Schedule 40 or any other schedule! I order one and the diameter matches with the pipe diameter so the pipe never goes inside the tool. I check with Schedule 40 PVC pipe of size 1" and 3/4", it is the same size as the pipe. I agree with Carl de Villar's review, not an expert but it may be a Nominal size issue. It should have a clear description!
