Buy this brand and you won't regret it
This was my first purchase of a Circulo-brand product. I've been crocheting and knitting for about 60 years, so I kind of know my stuff. The yarn and thread selection is pretty bleak in my particular area, so I thought, "What the heck? How bad can it be?"Not only was Circulo not bad, but it was really, really good.It has a softer and more pliable feel to it as you work. It is very easy on the hands. There's an ever-so-slight crimp to the thread, unusual at first, but this doesn't show up in your finished product.I've been making knitted lace for trimming embroidered pillowcases I completed a month ago. I can't stand that manky cheap, disgusting, paltry and scratchy polyester lace (can you tell that I don't like it) that so many things are trimmed with these days. I ripped all that off and am replacing it with this lovely soft stuff made from Clea. There is a lot of yardage in a ball, 1,000-plus feet. I've made several small table mats from a ball, with plenty left over for my Lace Improvement Project. It's made in Brazil. The Portuguese have been known for their needlework for centuries and they carried quality with them across the Atlantic.Good stuff.

Good for crochet
I got the "Sand" color.Used this for a mandala crochet project. Sturdy enough for my needs, and it's a nice, simple color. It's just a *bit* stretchier than I would like, by that's the nature of cotton, not this skein specifically. With a small hook, this yarn is good for mandalas or doilies, or any other lacey pattern. Not sure I'd want to use it for wearables or anything too big.

Very nice quality
I use size 10 crochet thread a lot and have tried many brands. This thread is very nice quality and the color is as expected. It is high quality and very sturdy. I often use this type of thread for kumihimo with beads, and this brand does not fray and weaken when adding beads and braiding, as some other brands do. I bought many colors and am very excited about all the options. The only negative is knots. I keep my thread on spools of about 350 yards, and as I was spooling it I ran across 2 knots in that length (section of thread tied to another with a knot). I tend to use in pieces roughly a yard long, so the knots are not a big issue for me, but they might be for others depending on the project.Edit: reduced one star due to consistency. As I spool more colors, I noticed a few have a rougher texture and less consistency in the thickness of the strands. They are still better quality than those I find in chain craft stores, but thought the difference worth noting.

New to crochet thread
I haven’t been doing doilies long. This is my first 20 weight thread. I have been using mostly the Aunt Lydia’s 10 weight yarn. I feel the Aunt Lydia’s looks flimsy and cheap. I feel even though this is 20 weight it seems to have more body and definitely looks nicer in finished projects

Lovely yarn for doilies
Approximately size 10 cotton but I would say slightly smaller. I use a size 8 steel hook and make doilies. It is soft and easy to work with. Stitch definition is beautiful. You get a lot of yardage for the money and lots of beautiful colors to choose from. Love this Brazilian cotton!
