Fenix, as always, the best!
I work as an HVAC service technician and a must have tool on my hip is a great source of light. By far the best EDC flashlight, tactical switch easily turns on/off or selects modes; depending on situation, very durable and small enough to use in any circumstance and has the lumens of a plugin powered halogen light stand or dim enough for any dark attic/crawl space to last a couple weeks on a single charge. Also great as a self defense tool, able to temporarily blind and/or distract an assailant w giving them dark spots in their visual perception more than long enough to evade or defend yourself, using the hardened bezel tip. Super clean beam that utilizes a great flood & spot spread, just recommend using or cutting a screen protector for the lens. Don't want the perfect beam to be obstructed by scratches from sand, dirt, or any other rough use of the light. Definitely recommend this flashlight and by far the best everyday carry, being able to use any of the 5 brightness settings plus strobe. Great price for what you get as well.

Very satisfied
Love the rechargeable battery, brightness, and the flashing feature. Be careful because it can get very hot if left on and I accidently burned a hole in my work pants because I left it on in my pocket! But still, easy to use and store and use.

Reliability
The media could not be loaded. I've used this light on Patrol for 4 years and it's never let me down. The battery will last all shift of constant use. Helps with Officer safety during night time traffic stops, tracking and hunting. It's ridiculously bright. The throw of the light is far. Further than my LED spot light on my patrol car. I've used it on search and rescues. Dropped it on water, rained on, broken windows with it, used it in extreme temperatures and it never lets me down. The battery it came with is starting to get a little banged up also but it works like the first day I bought it. Since then a lot of my guys have purchased this light. Wish they made a black light for investigative purposes. Better than Olight in my opinion.

This is a legit first-class tactical light, excellent brightness too
I also own the Fenix PD-40R and Fenix 35 v2.0 (which are also 3000 lumen rated lights).E35 is a broader beam pattern (wider spot and 80 degree spill) and more yellowish, great as a utility light.PD-40R has same beam pattern as this light: more neutral color, tight spot, 45 degree spill. The main difference between the PD-40R and the TK-16 is the TK-16 has tactical endcap control switches, whereas the PD-40R has a rotating ring on the head (easier UI but not suitable for tactical use). If I'm walking around at night I'll take the PD-40, but the TK-16 is my goto for tactical situations.Tactical use as I understand it needs the following:- tailcap controls, because of how the light will be held in a tactical grip (I know of at least 4 'standard' ways to hold a tactical light, they all require a tailcap switch).- instant on (and intermittent on), the TK-16 has both, a partial or full press gives instant and intermittent on.- direct access to strobe (no cycling through modes). The TK-16 is unique in that it has a second button, and the second button goes directly to strobe when off. You have to hold it to maintain the strobe when coming from off.The TK16 has all the necessary features of a first-class tactical light.Other features of the TK-16:- When on, mode cycling is also through the second button, but requires a .5 sec hold to get to strobe.- it remembers the last on brightness, so for tactical you will have to set it in advance to the brightness you want. The strobe however is always full brightness. I just leave it on full brightness all the time.Battery life is as advertised, 5 min on full brightness (3000 lumens), then step down to 1000 lumens and about 2 hours of life and then gradual dimming down. If you let it cool you can re-enter turbo mode for another 5 minutes of 3000 lumens, but below about half battery life the turbo mode becomes inaccessible, only the 1000 lumen mode remains. It's pretty bright at 1000 lumens though.

Decent flashlight
I use the flashlight for my walk arounds during the night time on the jet I fly. The flashlight is well suited and provides a good amount of light at various settings of brightness. I also use the light to illuminate my path back from the terminal to my parking lot. Numerous street crossings in which the strobe is effective in alerting drivers I am in the crosswalk. The strobe and highest setting could also be used to distract or disable an individual if needed. The downside of the light is that isn't as quite bright as I thought or advertised, not a big deal, still very bright on high. Which leads me to the other complaint I have about the light. On high, it gets very hot. The runtime on high is only 1 minute and 18 seconds (I just ran the test) before it drops back down to a lower setting. The lower setting is still bright however. Overall, I am fairly satisfied with it, It does the job. It's small size makes it easy to use and toss in my flight bag. Could it be better? Probably, And the price is a bit high, but still I am satisfied with it.

Outstanding tactical light!
Durability is outstanding. I carry it on my duty belt 8 to 12 hours a day, everyday for work. I have to charge it up about once a month. This of course depends on your use. It is a tactical light, so you aren't using it to light up a work site with it running nonstop! You turn it on to light up what you need to see and turn it off. Turbo is brighter than the spotlight on my patrol car. But you can't run it on turbo more than 30 seconds to a minute before the head is too hot to even hold! Drop it down to high and you can run significantly longer before it heats up too much. And any lower settings don't get hot at all. But again, this is of course not how a tactical light is intended to be used, however you could use it that way on the lower settings if you had to. It's funny at the nighttime firearms qualification when we have to shoot with our lights. When I go to fire, this light illuminates the entire firing line and you can hardly tell if anyone else has their lights on! If you need a tactical light, this is an outstanding choice.
