Why is my new Wallet already ripping in middle from normal use?

Mine isn't showing that kind of wear. My problem is that my dog loved the leather smell so much that in the middle of the night he very quietly went in the other room, pulled my jeans off the chair, pulled the wallet from the pocket, and started chewing. Had to replace two credit cards and my driver's license has tooth indentations. Sorry that's not helpful, but I couldn't resist.
