WM Weinmann Zac19 Rear Wheel, 700x35, 36H, 5/6/7-spd, QR, Black MSW

(350 miles later) Perfect wheel for my bike commute, it gets hit by the bad roads and has held to my expectation but part of the inner axle got cracked and got it fixed. ( paid to get it fixed) . I just didn't want return the item and pay for shipping and pay a bike shop to remove my crank again. I love the strength of the wheel and spokes but just make sure your axle is working properly.Update 12/16/18Update to 5 stars. Wheel is doing great, have had no issues with it and has not needed any truing. Lent it to my brother as an emergency for his deliveries and now he wants the wheel.

The wheel was a replacement for one damaged in an accident. This wheel seems really well-made. The spokes are heavy gauge and the wheel was true on delivery. It met and exceeded my expectations. I am not a racer and this is not a lightweight wheel, but it fit and seems like it will last a long time.

This wheel replaces a bent rear wheel that was on a regularly ridden Trek 21 Speed. When it arrived I checked it out on my truing stand to check spoke tension and true. I learned that it had 2.6mm spokes and 3.96mm spoke nipples. Larger sizes than you might find. It requires a Blue Park Tool SW-3 spoke wrench for adjusting the nipples. The spokes are what you might consider heavy duty, suitable for tandem bicycles or other heavy duty applications. The hub however is an unknown commodity and I can't say it is anything more than average to low end quality. The rim is pinned instead of welded which is normal for this price range. What is not typical is that the rim is double wall...nice. It checked out true with minor adjustments to even out the spoke tensions. The hub needed slight adjustment to relieve it of slight roughness. Again not unusual for this price range.I would recommend this wheel for a good replacement.

I put this on the back of my schwinn admiral 700c motorized bike. The 12g SS spokes make a big difference, Well built, very solid feel to it. Loved it so much I got the matching front (with the 14g SS spokes ) one a few weeks later. Great value.

The rims and spokes seem to be OK. The rims are "made in China" by "Weinmann." Rim band/tape is not included and needs to purchased separately (or one can re-use the rime tape from an old wheel, which I did). The spokes look solid and were reasonably tight, and the wheel is true. But the hub...First of all, the hollow axle appears to be made of ordinary, not hardened steel. This would explain why others report that their axles broke after little time. The cones seem to be made of the same material (although cones have to be made of softer metal). The cone surface, which needs to be smooth, isn't. It is not treated, let alone polished, and feels rough to the touch. Most shockingly, when the wheel arrived, the bearings were overtightened to a degree that made it impossible to turn the wheel by hand. The nuts on both sides with which one counters the cones, in contrast, were not particularly tight.This tells you that whoever assembled this hub had not the slightest idea how this is done, let alone how one adjusts a cup-and-cone ball bearing. They must have simply tightened the cones on both sides against each other, thus jamming the bearings. Then they added spacers and nuts on each side. That this product is branded "Wheelmaster" must be an inside joke.

I've put a few hundred miles on this wheel now and I have no complaints. No problems fitting and I haven't had any problems with spoke. Wheel is true.

I needed a strong wheel for my gasbike and this one works great! I haven't broke any spokes in it!

I was looking for a double walled wheel to replace my wife's single wall which I had to straighten frequently. This has put a stop to that and was a nice wheel and reasonably priced.5/8/2017A year and a half and several hundred miles later the rim is straight and solid.
