Fixed AC!
Disclaimer: Everything I say here is my opinion; any decisions you make based on this is not my responsibility. I suggest you use a licensed electrician (especially if you have any doubts). The last time I had the capacitor replaced on my AC, the technician didn’t have a dual that would work for my unit and put in 2 separate capacitors. I was pretty sure I could figure out how to rewire it to be 1 capacitor on my own, but decided it wasn’t worth the risk.I heard the AC kick on this year, and it sounded like it was a rough startup. I decided I would check to see what size capacitors I needed, and get them to be safe. Glad I did!!! A week or so after these came in, I heard the AC turn on outside, and it sounded like it was buzzing. I went out to check, and glad I did!!!! Turns out the fan wasn’t turning. I cut off all the electricity (both breakers), pulled out the old ones, shorted them to make sure there was no charge, and tested them with my voltmeter. They were way out of tolerance. I replaced them, and everything fired right up! This worked perfectly!Note: If you do this work yourself, proceed with caution because it involves high voltage. At minimum, I suggest you watch several different online videos from different sources to triangulate truth.

Two is one, one is none, three are for me
If you're searching for a capacitor like this, it's likely because your blower fan on your HVAC system stopped working and if you have central AC then you also have a dual run capacitor on your outdoor compressor/condenser. The tell tale sign of a bad capacitor is if it's deformed or bulging at the top or bottom. A service call can run anywhere from $150 or more to replace one of these. This capacitor lasted a little more than 2 years before it died and I feel like I got my money's worth out of it.I've had a few of these fail me over the years and never gave it much thought because I was covered under a service contract for my HVAC system. I would simply call the service number or schedule a visit online and someone would show up the next day to fix it. Well, that's all well and good until it's the middle of August during a heat wave with the heat index topping around 110° and your capacitor fails on a Friday night and you can't get a service tech to come out until Monday AM. That's exactly what happened to me about 2 years ago which is why I ended up buying this particular item. I figured I would just do a Google search and find a store in my area to buy one and install it myself, however, the only stores that carry these are usually HVAC wholesale supply stores that only sell to businesses and contractors. There are plenty of YouTube DIY videos showing how easy these are to replace. Well, the technician shows up and tells me that sometimes these capacitors will last 6 years or more and sometimes only a year. A good tech will replace the capacitor and examine the entire system to make sure there's nothing else going on that caused the capacitor to blow, for instance; clogged evaporator or condenser coils, electrical short or bad ground wires or loose connections. After a thorough inspection that took about 45 minutes he determined that the capacitor probably just died because they’re not too fond of heat and failed. He told me I should probably keep two (2) of each capacitor; the blower fan and outdoor dual run capacitor in case the same situation happened again. He said I should have two of each in the event that one of them is bad and also because they're usually pretty cheap. There's a saying in the military that goes; "Two is one, one is none, three are for me!" He said that there isn't any one brand that's better than the other since he's replaced all different brands. The one that this capacitor replaced was actually made in the USA and lasted about 4 years. So, after the service visit, I bought three (3) capacitors for the blower fan and compressor and keep them handy. If you're dead set on getting a product made in the USA you should look up Titan HD (not Titan Pro) or Aerovox, but keep in mind that you're going to pay about 2-3 times the price of something made in China so why not buy 3 of the ones from China instead of just 1 from the USA?I would suggest checking out some of the DIY videos on YouTube and get familiar with what size and type of capacitor you have. If you have an outdoor compressor for your central AC then it will be close to where the electrical wire comes in. For the blower fan it will be very close to the fan itself. Always make sure you turn off the breaker and pull the disconnect prior to attempting to change these. Measure it and take a picture of the label so you can reference it later if need be. If your capacitor is rated for 370 volts then you can use a 370v or 440v capacitor but not the other way around. Just be sure and get a 440 volt capacitor regardless.

Seriously, this one is awesome.
Everyone, this is more a review of how easy it is to fix your AC than the product. The product was OEM for my system and it worked like a charm. Took me 5 minutes to replace with basic tools. The AC Repair Copmmayhy wanted $250 to come out and another $200 to replace. This cost me $5. Yes, $5 for the same repair. Everyone, please do your homework before just calling someone. This was the easiest fix ever. Amazon, kudos to you for delivering it the same day to me. What else can I say, great product, easy repair, and Amazon delivery?

Cheap easy fix for furnace blower motor
If your blower in your hvac system is humming, starting slow, running low power, or anything wrong in any way this is probably the problemmy heater used to cycle on/off and turn off due to overheating the blower used to take like 30 seconds to get up to speed while making a loud humming. The blower was so sluggish and ineffective my furnace would turn off and it still had tons of heat left in it and the ducks. Now after changing this small capacitor when the blower clicks on it takes off instantly!no humm just power! ive never felt so much pressure from my vents or heard my furnace run so quiet!Im glad the old one went out finally because it really needed replaced and this replacment was definitely a upgradeMy furnace is working better then it ever has

Keep a couple of these in the house for your air handler fan
Every air handle in the house will have an air handler fan and one of these. Depending on the size of the air handler fan motor, it could be either 7.5 or 10 uF capacitor. My old furnace has 10 uF capacitor that failed one summer. The AC compressor ran for hours and yet the house does not get cool because the air handler fan does not run. I went outside and checked the AC unit and there is ice build up on the line going to the house from the connector. I went down to the basement and checked the air handler and sure enough the air handler fan is not going. I shut down everything, change out the air handler capacitor, and wait for the ice to thaw from the line before turning it back on. Everything works again without any issue, but if I was not home and checked the AC unit, I think the compressor could have been damaged because it will never stop running and eventually burned out. I have both 7.5 uF and 10 uF capacitors because the heat pump uses 7.5 while the furnace uses the 10. Again, they are inexpensive invesment to keep them on hand when the air handler motor stops working.

Good replacement
Wasn't my problem but if it was this would have been just fine & now I have a spare...lol

Looked like the exact cap I replaced.
Cap I replaced was barely out of tolerance and not strong enough to turn on the fan for the swimming pool heater. Put in new cap, now heater works great. Been running great for a couple of months now with zero problems. Highly recommend.
