**THE SUNDAY TIMES TOP 10 BESTSELLER** **14 PEAKS: NOTHING IS IMPOSSBLE NOW ON NETFLIX** 'An inspirational study in leadership and a powerful testament to the human spirit at its very best.' - Mail on Sunday 'The energy of the book gives it pace and you whip through, rather as Purja nips up verticals... Whether or not you are a lover of the mountains, you will marvel at his tenacity, his fearlessness. No one can fail to be inspired by what he achieved.' - The Times 'Not only does Nims have exceptional physical stamina, he's also a leader with great skills in financial management and logistics.' - Reinhold Messner, the first person to climb all fourteen highest mountains in the world 'The magnitude of his achievement is astonishing.' Soldier Magazine 'A Living Legend.' Trail Magazine *** Welcome to The Death Zone. Fourteen mountains on Earth tower over 8,000 metres above sea level, an altitude where the brain and body withers and dies. Until recently, the world record for climbing them all stood at nearly eight years. So I announced I was summiting them in under seven months. People laughed. They told me I was crazy, even though I'd sharpened my climbing skills on the brutal Himalayan peaks of Everest and Dhaulagiri. But I possessed more than enough belief, strength and resilience to nail the job, having taken down enemy gunmen and terrorist bomb makers while serving with the Gurkhas and the UK Special Forces. I wanted to show the world a new truth: that with bravery and enough heart and drive, the impossible is possible. Review: Brilliant and inspirational - It's still difficult to find the right words and describe the feeling after reading this book. Mountaineering is the subject that I really like and more of that I like books about survival, human abilities, and those doing impossible because that's so inspirational for me. I knew about the project Nimsdai was doing and from time to time I would've seen some posts and photos, yet I never knew who was this man, what pushed him and what dreams was he chasing. This book revealed all that and so much more. I wanted to read slowly and enjoy every sentence, but there were moments when the book just got me and I turned pages without stopping for hours. That's an example to all those who gave up without starting, no matter what are they trying to achieve. Because it's not the description of a dream that's important, it's your attitude towards the dream. Like the author said instead of being one man, at the most difficult moments he was a hundred men on his mind. And to know that he not only climbed but also rescued that many people who were left behind by others, that even rushing he would stop on top and take in everything for long times... And turns out he is a great storyteller too. Book takes you in so easily and it's very natural even with stronger language and swears. From the moment when I found, out that he was trying to learn British jokes to compensate for his accent, I knew that this man looks at the world differently. He does what most of all are capable of but not willing. A Comfort zone does not exist to Nimsdai nor he is looking for it ever. Amazing read that's impossible to describe. Must read for those who are looking for real, raw, strong inspiration. Those who have family sick or dying, those who emigrate abroad ir feel lonely, those who want to travel and has no money, those who want to become healthier... It's for everyone. And it's impossible not to admire. Well done to the author and my next job is to find the movie and watch it too. Review: An absolute MUST read and unique true story of beating the odds. - Where to start. This is THE best book I have EVER read and will be re-read many times. Once started I could not stop reading. Very well written, grips you from the first chapter. Nims is a unique man, having the determination NOTHING is impossible, even as a young boy. Nepal is a very poor country, but from it comes the fiercest of fighters, the Gurkhaโs. Justifiably highly regarded, always committed to go that extra mile, in some of the worst imaginable conditions around the world. Next comes another supremely brave set of men, the Sherpa. For so long the forgotten in the mountaineering fraternity, but without whom others cannot achieve their goals. Put the two together and you have a unique set of men who are of the firm belief, once you start something you donโt give up, no matter the challenge. Throughout the story, we see how Nims copes with derision of his desire to climb the 14 highest mountains in an unbelievable timescale. Along with his amazing team, they not only climb, but rescue other climbers numerous times, cope with weather changes, the mountaineering fraternity, politicians, fundraising etc. Throughout it all, Nims is unshaking in his belief the challenge can and will be done, he just has to find the way. Not for self-gratification but many unselfish reasons. Inspirational, awe inspiring, though provoking, unique on all levels. Am looking forward very much to the next adventure.

Believing that the impossible is possible.
Amazing story of how to live ones life to the fullest and best it can be. From a boy in school to the Gurker regiment,to the SBS with mountaineering,to fulfilling a record breaking climb of the worlds highest peaks. With personal relationships, commeradery of fellow climbers to write this book to be an inspiration for others to reach out and attain their own dreams and goals whilst bringing about awareness of the courageous work of the often forgotten Sherpas along side the less known effects of climate change and how parties of climbers have little respect for the environmental impact of abandoning not only rubbish but fellow climbers who in many circumstances could be saved from death. Inspiring read for all ages to encourage you to follow your own destiny and break boundaries to inspire others to follow the causes what ever they be.

World's Best Mountaineer
What a phenomenal guy! This fascinating, awe inspiring book tells the story of how Nims smashed the world record for summiting the world's fourteen highest mountains. The previous record was seven years and Nims and his team do it in only six months. Not content with that, he moved on to the next challenge, and on 16 January 2021, Nims led a team of Sherpa climbers to the first ever winter ascent of K2! Just blown away by this man who came from the most humble of beginnings in a small village in Nepal. I think a BBC documentary should be made about his life. Really hoping that Nims writes another book about his K2 ascent and this time includes more detail about the scenery, weather and food.

if you enjoyed the film, niw read the book
The documentary blew me away and I thought about it for weeks afterwards. The spirit of the mission to promote what is possible AND to have Nepalese climbers actually lead and pioneer the way is just an epic story by anyoneโs standards. But what was Nims thinking whilst all of this was taking place. This is the book that will shed some light on the thought processes behind that. I have even more respect for the whole venture now.

Would not recommend.
I would not recommend this book to someone that interested in reading about mountaineering. It's more about the author personality and views than about the expeditions on itself.
